    Who’s your ROY???

    1. Tyreke Evans is putting up 20 pts 5 reb and 5 ast are great numbers for ANY rookie.

    2. Steph Curry is taking more shots and getting the team involved when Monte Ellis was out.

    3. Jennings has revived Andrew Bogut’s career. He’s the first point guard to actually get him the ball. He’s been shooting less and passing more.

    4. If the Hornets make the playoffs……Darren Collision is ROY. What he is doing is unprecendeted. This is like when Kurt Warner picked up for Trent Edwards??? I’m more of a basketball than football. Anyway, there’s more pressure at stake, with the playoffs on the line.Collision instantly took over a slumping team and became the leader. It would have been easy for this team to pack up for the season after Paul’s injury. I also can’t penalize a player who didn’t get a ton of mins early on. You’ll never have great stats or mins playing behing Chris Paul. But when called up, you have to answer the bell and that’s exactly what Collision is doing. This is going to get real interesting.

It really isn’t much of a conversation. Tyreke Evans is having the best year. Period. End of story.

Actually not having a broken back has revived Andrew Bogut’s career.

Evans is getting better as the year goes on. In February he is at 19.5pts 5.6reb 7.4ast. while shooting 52% from the floor. I say he wins it hands down.

And Jennings is playing better then his stats say. He is a great floor leader for the Bucks.

See, that’s my point. Evans has good stats, no doubt. But its not all about stats. Antwain Jamison puts up 20 pts almost every season….is he going to the hall-of-fame??? Collision might well would have been putting up 20 pts and 10 ast had Chris Paul not been the starting point guard. People put too much of an empahsis on stats. Collision is leading a broken team to the playoffs. That’s worth more than scoring points.

Regardless of stats, Tyreke is the best rookie in the class.

The Hornets are 5-7 since Paul went down. Collison, while putting up very good numbers, isn’t leading them to victories in an unprecedented manner as you said.

I think Tyreke is hands down rookie of the year, if you have watched him play the man gets to the rim at will and teams know that is what he wants to do. If he teammates could hit shots on a consitant basis he would have close to 10 dimes a game I live in sacramento and if you tallied up how many wide open shots that reke’s teammates have missed it would be ridiculous. That being said I think someone that deserves to be on this list is Blair, he is a beast and is able to affect the game without dominating the basketball. The only person that can give Tyreke a run for his money though is Steph Curry and that is only if Ellis doesnt come back and take all of his shot attempts (however Curry’s numbers are definately inflated, thanks Nelly) Thats my 2 cents as someone that has watched Tyreke all year the kid has it all and once he can hit the outside shot consistantly you wont be able to guard him.

i agree collins is playing very very well. cant say hes int he disscussion for a couple of reasons. he is putting up good stats when he has started but 6the award goes to what someone has done for the whole season not just when a player has gotten alot of time. as far as saying curry’s numbers are inflated i ask why?..and if so why cant you say evans numbers are inflated since he’s playing on a team where he is the number one option and has the ball in his hands on every possession and doesnt have to share shots while playing on a very bad team? cant i make a arguement saying his stats are inflated since hes the best option on his team? or because of his attempts or the offense that the team runs?..i could make that arguement but it would be a pretty dumb arguement
