if Royce White didn't have the anxiety disorder, would he be drafted higher? and even be considered top 5?, he has the Point Forward Skill set, a good height, 6'8" 260 lbs, a good finisher and draws a ton of fouls when he was in college, though free throws are trouble for him,
Could he challenge MKG for the top 2 pick?
Not top 5 but chad ford said Detroit had interest in him at 9 if he didn't have his disorder. He would've been top 5 easy of he also had a good jumper and shook his 'tweener' status
but what if he didn't have the disorder?
could he be a better prospect than MKG? talent wise maybe?
though White is older
Maybe it depends as white has a VERY unique skill set while mkg just turned 19 and has a ton of potential and room to grow
Royce White is nowhere near MKG's talent/potential but he is a very unique talent. If you didn't have a mental illness I really thought talent wise he should of entered the discussion as high as 5 to the Kings in the draft. The Kings could of used his versatility, toughness, and facilitating ability from their forward position. Also the Warrios, Raptors, and Pistons are other teams in the top 10 that would of gave him a long look because of rare skill set.
Idealistically Royce White is a player that should probably lose 10 pounds, get a jump shot, and play SF. He's very athletic and strong with a high IQ, post game, and passing ability.
Without his anxiety disorder and a better jumper Royce White would of probably been a top 10 pick.
even with his disorder, he could be a 41 game player + others games near Houston, he could be a unique case, that he would be playing only in west side, where his Bus could travel,
though it would be frustating for his team mates and Coaches for the adjustments
