After watching Houston’s game yesterday, Royce white has got to be one of the most talented and intriguing prospects I have ever seen. This guy is 6’8 260 but runs the floor like a deer, he is a very good rebounder and his ball handling ability is crazy for a guy his size. The passes he made yesterday were very Magiclike and his court vision rivals some starting point guards in the league. Who do you guys compare him to? I see him as a poor man’s LeBron James, I know its only summer league but you can’t deny his talent. On another note Jeremy lamb is a very smooth scorer he won’t have any problems with his game transitioning to the NBA

Yeah, i had White rated way ahead of Thomas Robinson & Henson..If he can improve his shooting stroke, the sky’s th limit for him…Terrance Jones has played well also..Teams will be looking to grab 1 of them…

I felt the same way, and he didn’t score nothin but 6pts last night.

Royce started the SL cold, but the last two games he’s really impressed me.

Alot of people look at the scorebooks and see guys going for 20,30+ in the SL and be impressed.

Royce White has the ABILITY to go for buckets, but he’s scoring 6-10 pts, grabbing 10,12 rebounds and handing out 7,8 assist at 6’8 260, idk, but I think he might be a steal even tho he was a first rounder.

How was he as a passer in half court sets? He did pretty well running the fast break.

he kind of looks like Barkey the way he moves, at his size and with his handle and vision, cant help but think of Mase.  his body is so big and unique for his skillset though.

I agree with the Barkley moves, Chris Webber said that he reminds him of Charles Barkley with his ball handling ability and the way he moves, oldskool he passed the ball well in the half court as he made the smart pass, this guy can run a fastbreak this is where he made a lot of highlights

I think the most accurate comparison for White right now is Anthony Mason. They are very similar in body type and in ability (although White’s passing ability is much better then I remember Mason’s being).

Houston is going to be a very exciting team this year with their new additions Lin, White, Motiejunas, Lamp, and Jones. Hopefully we’ll get a lot of Houston games being broadcasted.

im also impressed in all rockets pick they just can build the whole team with those teen picks..

i feel a lot could depend on how better Royce can get his jumper, if he is at least decent there then he team would trust in his and not only his scoring but even his unique passing would be maximized because they would give him the ball more and would build around him with not ball dominant combo’s..other than that im not worrying his rebounding always was impressive and he even looks better there in Vegas his TO’s will be cut because of his IQ both on and off the court he looks really smart and don;t forget he is only 21

This guy is rather unique, my comparison is a 6’8" 260 Jason Kidd.

Royce has to have thr ball in his hands to be mst effective so I think he will likely struggle if Lin is going to be the primary ball handler/distributor.

we all saw how much different Felton was in NYC and playing for blazers..i don’t expect Lin to have a lot double double’s and be pure PG, much more of a score first one

I think a poor mans Lebron is spot on. He just isn’t a freak athlete. He’s not even a good athlete(basketball wise). That’s the difference. Though he probably wouldn’t be the scorer Lebron is but who knows. Lebron is a freak and can do almost anything. I guess he like a bigger Boris Diaw.

If he is a bigger Boris Diaw, which looks right, then he shouldn’t be compared to Lebron because I don’t think Boris Diaw ever drew any Lebron comparisions.

    Is simply @BEAST

He play like lebron at the power forward positions, not a scorer as well but when he want to score the basket he can and we saw that in LAS VEGAS SL.

When you compare him to borris diaw, you forget some athleticism and speed, in addition this guy is more @SHOWMAN than Borris. But I already understand why some peoples compare him to Borris diaw, this guy is also a facilitator he want to passe the ball before to score

I’m a huge Royce fan, the issue is that at the moment the Rockets are a collection of assets, rather than a team. Their rotation is completely up in the air and I think Royce needs a team where he has the ball in his hands often to be successful and I’m not sure if he’ll be afforded that with the Lin signing. There’s a huge log jam at the forward position in Houston and because of this I’m not sure how much White’ll even play. If he’s put at the heart of this young team, or even the second unit, I think White’ll do well this season.

Right but, with Lin, Lamb, Jones, White, Patterson, Parsons and Motiejunas we GOT some talents for the futur and they all needs to play with confidence. WE HAVE TO DO, WHAT OKC DO, some youngs player talented juste give them some confidence and see the result in two or three years. We probably going to have a top pick in 2013 and with all the talents and money (fa market) we got, you can be an outsider in 2-3  years…

Its better to be an outsider in 2 or 3 years, more than fighting to a spot in PO without a chance to upset your opponents because we don’t have the same arms….!

The guy looks like Antoine Walker but less aggressive as a scorer.
