So at the start of the season I started a topic on how each person would rank the teams in the Eastern and Western conferences for this year (as many people make topics on this type of stuff). But to make it more interesting, I made it into a game where at the end of the season (today) I would rate how everybody did on their predicting skills (as everyone likes to think they know so much about the future on this site). To see the rules, scoring, and entries (18 users) please go to this link:

     http://www.nbadraft.net/forum/season-picks

Following that scoring criteria, here are some results:

Best in the League Award: franfran with a score of 74 out of a possible 150.

Worst in the League Award: Grandmama with a pitiful score of 40 out of a possible 150.

Best in the East Award: franfran with a blistering score of 42 out of a possible 75.

Worst in the East Award: Grandmama with a horrific score of 15 out of a possible 75.

Best in the West Award: rileymchsea3 with a great score of 39 out of a possible 75.

Worst in the West Award: stifler101 with a midling score of 23 out of a possible 75.

It’s too time consuming to list their rankings, so if you want to see their choices please follow the aforementioned link.

    Some statistics from our rankings:

Most Underated Teams in the East: Charlotte (nobody had them making the playoffs) and Toronto (5 people had them making the playoffs, but nobody had them ranked in the top 4).

Most Overated Teams in the East: New York (everyone had them at least making the playoffs) and Detroit (only 6 people had them missing the playoffs).

They Did What We Thought They Would Teams of the East: Miami for being good and Orlando for being bad (but not the worst).

Most Underated Teams in the West: Portland (only 8 people had them making the playoffs, but only as a low seed) and Phoenix (most users had them dead last in the west).

Most Overated Team in the West: Minnesota (14 people had them making the playoffs).

They Did What We Thought They Would Teams of the West: OKC and the Clippers for being in the top 4 seeds and Sacramento for being bad without tanking.

Sorry for the long read, but I hope you found most of this interesting. And congrats to the people who did well! And shame on you for the people who did poorly….

Most of us had Detroit in the playoffs… should have known better.

I completely forgot about making this, but it’s cool to see which ones you fussed right and wrong. I hope to see this as a yearly thing, and I’m interested to see the results of the award winners.

First off, congratulations on getting the best west score!

secondly, at the start of the season there’s millions of threads of people saying how teams and players are going to do and lots of arguments on how people see the season playing out. Nobody ever gets to see how right or wrong they were, so this is why I made sure I remembered to update this once the season finished. It’s amusing going back to the original poet and seeing people getting negged for things that eventually did happen.
