He was out of shape, but was still productive and efficient
Now he's in better shape and has been even more productive and still efficient.
His "struggles" were over-exaggerated.

He doesn't deserve all of the negative comments he's getting, people are forgetting that his jumpshot is significantly better and he is scoring a ton of points in an offense that isn't designed for one player to score alot; which is why guys like collision, holiday, and Westbrook didn't score like he did. Their main problem is they are soft snide and their ball movement isn't really good. He is out if shape but he has done really good if you ask me and people will be on his bandwagon again once te tourney starts

and should only look better as the season goes on

absolutely money in the mid range game. He seems to always have his shoulders squared and has a nice compact little shot. Hes playing fine and getting it going. Could have had 30 last saturday when he finished with 25 in a blowout.

When it comes to overhyped and out of shape Tony Parker should be the first name brought up.

He's a beast but he doesn't set up teammates to score (which you all probably know but still). But every game I've seen he's been unstoppable on the drive plus he can shoot.

His comparison on here is MKG. That makes no sense, he can actually shoot. He is only getting one assist a game. I dont know who to compare him to. He is a scorer, so maybe a rich mans kevin martin? What do you guys think?

he will be a top 3 pick... He is very competitive, his shooting is improving, he is an amazing athlete and has leadership qualities... In high school he took on the offensive load for his squad and did alright... The draft combine will only help his stock even more...

Bazz is not even close to Harden. Harden makes people around him better. i cant say the same for Bazz. i cant believe they gave him a 96 on this board in NBA draft rank. Be honest people do you think Bazz is a ten on athleticism? They also gave him a 8 in size at 6'6 small forward wow! Bazz is not a guy that i would select with the top pick. IMHO Bazz is a middle first round pick. By the way kids motor is better than Bazz.

To me He looks like Jerry Stackhouse back in the days

I like Relative's comparison. He really looks like a left-handed young Jerry Stackhouse. Though I believe that Shabazz's perimeter skills, at this stage, are more advanced than Stackhouse's as a freshman. I think Shabazz is going to be a really good scorer in the NBA, but not necesarilly a Franchise Player like he was hyped coming out of high school. Remember, Jerry Stackhouse once scored 29.8 ppg in a season for the Pistons. I believe Shabazz will have a similar, well respected career in the NBA.

He's averaging 18 pts a game,while being a little overweight,rusty and playing in UCLA's dysfunctional offense....It just shows you He really hasn't scratched the surface of what he's capable of doing..I would be SHOCKED if he isnt the 1st pick in the draft!!! I think only Nerlen Noel,becuz of his defensive instincts and upside will challenge him for the stop spot....

My only criticisms of him is that his handle is below average for a scoring guard and he seems very into his own offense; i.e. he does not set his teammates up very well.
