Tha King2121ParticipantSo i have been thinking about the 76ers 1st round draft pick for a long time. I starting to get frusterated with Andre Iggy because he just cant score, I really think they need that go to guy.
So anyone with any suggestions for us let me know. For the longest time I was thinking Jordan Hamlton but the thing is I believe that he could end up like iggy because he doent have that 1 aspect on his game that great everthing is just above average. I wish there was a good center at the mid 1st round spot but there just isnt.

gopack10ParticipantThe problem is that Iggs isn’t supposed to be the #1 option. He shouldn’t be relied on to score in bunches. That is not his game. He would thrive in an offense that has a lights out PG like Deron Williams, Chris Paul or D-Rose. The 76ers have a good team but as long as Elton Brand’s contract is on the books it will be hard for them to get over the hump. They need to sign Tyson Chandler (or at least try to) this Summer and somehow find a way to unload Brand’s contract and get an offensive minded PF. There really aren’t that many in this draft so they could package the pick with another player for a PF.

B FreeParticipantI don’t see a SG worth the pick being available so I think they should take a the best big man instead of reach, I think they will be good with the combo of Turner, Iggy, Meeks and Young at SG/SF so grabbing a fierce rebounder like Faired or a potential Brand replacement in Jordan Williams would probably be their best move.

JoeWolf1Yeah, I think they’ll go with a PF too. I think Faried would be a good pick, like robertfreeman mentioned, and I think going with Philly native Markieff Morris would be another good choice for them. I bet Tristan Thompson will be off the board by then, but I think he’d be a really good pick for them and a guy who could really learn a lot from Elton Brand.

the microwaveParticipantas a sixers fan im only considering a few…. ( maybe we can move up in draft since its weak, maybe not so im just throwing names out there)
markieff morris, tristan thompson, biyombo (although other than that 1 game im not too familar), faried…. They need to stick to there athletic mold the team has created..

OhCanada-ParticipantNo use in Philly acquiring another wing, especially with noone capable of being an NBA go to guy in that range. see Collins finding a player that can do what he expected Mareese Spieghts to be able to do, the dirty work. Mareese wouldve been a great player with another year of polish at Florida.
I think they could pick up a Markieff Morris, Chris Singleton, Kenneth Faried type guy to do more dirty work.

OhCanada-ParticipantI think Tristan Thompson would be perfect for Philly. But likely gone.

Tha King2121ParticipantI agree with you guys some what that we should get a power foward,
However I think Mo Spights is going to be good in the future I didnt give up on
Him yet, I love his game, mid range jumper is consistant. I just dont think we should give
up on him yet.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThey need a big name player….Becuz Iggy is a 3rd or 4th option…Maybe they can package Turner or Holiday in a deal to get Irving…

BKKnicksfanParticipantMaybe they can package Turner or Holiday in a deal to get Irving…
Why would you do that?

B FreeParticipantHoliday is proving to be the answer at PG a good young athletic player, I don’t see them giving him up.

the microwaveParticipantHoliday is a beast, and going to be a great PG…
Sixers have Brackins as well….. Brackins will give philly what Speights currently gives them… Speights is a bum, and has regressed since his injury a year back….

B FreeParticipantBrackins will give them another bum?

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI believe Turner will be among the most improved players next season..But they still need a number 1 go to guy…

kobyzParticipanti say in their sitoation and at that spot with that type of draft, the target for them coming into the draft should be to find some bigman to improve their status upfront, i think they will have decent options left for them, i feel Markieff Morris will be the pick, seems to fit well where he could give them stability, toughness and ability to spread the floor, but also Tristan Thompson and Trey Thompkins if he falls could be an options.

KingJames00ParticipantAm i the only one who thinks M.Speights should be there future power forward, i know his D needs work, but it seems like even with limited mins his point and rebound totals are very good. Thoughts?
