omphalosParticipantAnybody watching this? Just started, familiar story, Philly are up early, let’s see what happens.
I saw something that made me pause, at the start of the second quarter, Evan Turner seems really sluggish out there, his energy level looks pretty low, inconsistent minutes is a likely cause, but wow, I really hope a full off-season will help him out.

omphalosParticipantLittle scuffle after Turner made a lazy attempt to block Jones’ shot. Let’s hope it fires up Turner, who just responded with a nice move on Lebron. I want to see him playing more energetically and aggressively, if he can shot that fire maybe he’ll be worth that draft pick after all.

llperezThis replay sucks for Philly because it’s gonna get reversed to Miami but it should have been a foul on Miami but they cant review that part since a foul wasn’t called

omphalosParticipantGreat ending, Turner played well, Williams is approaching Jamal Crawford level of clutchness off the bench.

KayjayParticipantPhilly caught me blind sided. I believe on the play offs wager post, I said Philly would come up one game. But after 3 in a row, I never thought the Heat would lose after that. Lol just wow. Looks like the Bulls and Heat will have to tie loose ends the next game. I have the strangest feeling, that neither of the two games will be pretty for either underdogs.

I May Be WrongParticipantthat’s how an underdog’s fans are supposed to be! Wells Fargo was rocking today.
JRUE and LOU!!!
By the way, I love getting Turner these minutes. He WANTS to be man for Philly. He did get his shot blocked a few times but he loves pressure moments like this. Thank you Collins for not putting in Iggy in this at the end! Best decision he made of the series

IndianaBasketballParticipantI thought Evan Turner played great today. He defended well. He played with confidence and he knocked down his shots. This is the kind of play I expected from Turner all season. He played very poised today.
Those were huge shots by Holiday and Williams. I really thought Miami would put the ball in Wade’s hands to force overtime, but they went with LeBron… Great win for the 76ers. IF Boston sweeps the Knicks today, this gives Shaq a few more days to rest and get healthy.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantLebron just has to know that at the end of the game the ball is reserved for dwayne wade. Let him make a play if its score or find an open shooter. Lebron is extremely predictable when it comes to he’s last second choices. This is why the heat are the worst finishers in the league. With 3 superstars its shocking how bad they are in the clutch

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron just isn’t a creative shot maker when the game is on the line…
Like I said earlier in the season… Most great players have a different mode they go into when the game is on the line. LeBron doesn’t… Fourth quarter LeBron is no different than first, second or third quarter LeBron.
Wade has that different gear though. He should ALWAYS have the ball when the game is on the line for Miami. LeBron needs to spot up and then crash the glass.

andxxxParticipantDid everyone forget Wade’s misses and him turning the ball over? Yeah Lebron missed the shot, but Wade had a shot to put it away, but didn’t do it

omphalosParticipantI hope Collins recognises Turner’s potential as a scorer and gives him that green light, he’s shown the ability to take tough shots and make them, he just needs to get the go-ahead from the coach. A strong sophomore season from Turner is the most important factor in the Sixers transition to contender status, unless a crazy trade goes down.

IndianaBasketballParticipantRegardless of the plays before, Wade is the best finisher on Miami. I don’t care if he missed he last three shots. The ball should be in his hands to take the final shot. He’s a more creative shot maker than LeBron is. He’s made more game winning shots in his career than LeBron has. LeBron is the best overall player in the NBA, but Wade is Miami’s best finisher.
His game winning attempt drive today was similar to the one vs the Knicks where Stoudemire just rotated over and blocked the shot. Very predictable.

andxxxParticipantI hate how some ppl already considered Evan Turner a bust. He just needed time and confidence, but the talent is there
0 - Posted on: Sun, 04/24/2011 - 11:00am #524781
kobyzParticipantTurner has talent to be great, but it seems that a lot of the time he’s very tentative, unconfident and doesn’t have chemistry with his teammates, it maybe could refer to the way Collins managed Turner over the season, but Turner just need to be a lot more assertive, play with more freedom, offensively and defensively, just to improve his comfortable level on the field!
