chris_wuzhereParticipantMarcus Smart just went 5-13 FG, 4-8 FT, and 5 TOs in a loss to Oregon. How much do you think this will affect his stock? Or do you believe his combine and workouts will matter more? I think his inability to impose his will on smaller guards will make some GMs think twice on his place on their Big Board.

theprophetParticipantnot really. at worst he falls to maybe seven. at best he could be the top pick.

chris_wuzhereParticipantA lot of ppl have him going #1 depending on who’s drafting so I just meant a couple spots. Doubt he even makes it 7. I’d guess his floor to stop at 4-5.

khaled_a_dParticipantwell it depends, the teams with the top 14 picks
Charlotte,Washington,Cleveland,Minnesota,Philadelphia,Oklahoma City,Portland have their young PG for the future ,I think all of them would pass on him
New Orleans,Phoenix,Detroit,Sacramento(if they signed Evans and played him PG again) all have good PGS ,but not good enough probably to pass on a player if he is really best available by far
Mavs/Utah are desperate for a good PG IMO ,but I think he will be picked b4 that
It depends on the lottery ,If Orlando didn’t win it and became with the 4th/5th pick ,I think they should take him ,Also doubt Kings will pass on him ,so think 8 is probably his floor0- Posted on: Thu, 03/21/2013 - 4:37pm #756631
thunderjerkParticipantIn this draft with no real stars, would the Jazz be able to use their pick around 10 and their rights to GS’s pick around 17 to trade up to around 5 for Smart?

HaleParticipantIt’s ridiculous that he’s in contention for the top pick in the draft. He’s good but not that good.

TurnipParticipantHe didn’t show anything different in that game than he’s shown all season. Inefficient scorer, turnover prone, good rebounder.

chris_wuzhereParticipantHe’s a good not great talent. I’d consider trading down and getting Burke or MCW if it meant adding more assets.
