    I’m in Maryland, and I don’t think it’s as bad here as where you are, but it’s still cold as HELL! I kinda like this storm though because we have missed a few school days the past few weeks. : ) But people were telling me yesterday that we weren’t likely going to have school today, but we did : (

    But it’s funny though because when I was walking in my driveway this morning, it was so cold, that it felt like an ice skating rink. I was sliding down the driveway LOL!

    Toronto is getting 30cm on snow tonight! Snow day tomorrow! I ain’t goin’ to college tomorrow and I’m going to spend my Wednesday sippin’ hot chocolate and reading posts on nbadraft.net from all the people stuck in snowstorm lol

    30cm is almost 12inches or a foot. 30cm is the length of a ruler. In the states how cold in temperature does it gotta be for your schools and buses to shut down?

    dmo21 summed it up perfectly. 30cm = 12inches. Heard Chicago is gonna get 30 INCHES!!!!!

    Canada’s metric system is different than America’s lol. We measure distances in kilometeres not miles. Just incase you’re wondering…. 1 km = 0.62 miles or 1.6 km = 1 miles

    I have been wondering about the differences in the metric system so thanks for posting this guys.  As far as getting off High School in the states, it really depends on where you live.  Outside of Philly, 3+ inches in a guaranteed 2 hour delay, and in most winters, 6+ inches is usually an automatic day off.

    It’s crazy here in Indianapolis. 1-2 inch thick ice on my windows. It’s hailing, snowing and raining all at the same time. And the worst is yet to come. Freezing rain, sleet… Just a mess out there.

    The worst winter storm I’ve ever seen. No work today or tomorrow.

    20 inches? thats crazy

    We rarely even get that much up here in Ontario

    But yeh i have cousins in NC and apparently they got like an inch of snow and had cancelled schools lol.

     NE Kansas is getting hammered too, my work closed early today and class was cancelled today and tomorrow.  Were supposed to have a foot when all is said and done.  I got some food and beer on the way home from work so hopefully I won’t get too bored tomorrow

    And this is why I live in las vegas I was born and raised in chicago and I am never going back there to live and I dont visit in the winter time I hate the snow and the cold.  Its 28 degrees right now and I am freezing.
