    • The bucks are giving Jordan Hamilton a strong look at #10 and Branden Jennings sends him bible scriptures text everyday.
    • Scouts say Derrick Williams has a chip on his shoulder, Irving has a better demeanor
    • Kieth Benson has major hops, easily touch the 12 foot bar, about the top of box on backboard
    • Brendon Knight is maybe considered the smartest player in the draft 4.3 gpa in high school 4.0 in college
    • Kenneth Faried, didnt impress in interviews, and some scouts worry about 6’6 without shoes, and no offensive game. Also his dreadlocks are so long they intimediate players, because they usually hit them his quote
    • “A lot of NBA scouts say I can’t make post moves, so all I got to do is swing my hair and I can make some moves and go score the ball.”
    •
    • The final word comes from Duke forward Kyle Singler who, when asked what separates him from others at the pre-draft camp, quipped: "I have a degree."

Where is your source on Faried?

scottant93, I watched both days of the combine and I saw Kenneth Faried’s interview.  All the comentators were raving about how likeable he was and he was very well spoken, grateful of the opportunity and willing to do the hard work.

I’ve always liked my athletes to have a chip on their shoulder.

I have only heard good things about Faried as well. I completely agree with the Derrick Williams and Kyrie Irving analysis though. I liked the way Kyrie handled himself, and I found Derrick to be sort of cocky. Sometimes that is how players hype themselves up, but keeping a chip on your shoulder is not always the best way to handle things.

Seems like clear winners and stories so far include:

    • Nikola Vucevic, who had measurements that I think caught most off guard, considering he was listed at 6’10 and no one knew he was THAT long
    • I feel Derrick Williams and Kyrie Irving both were fine, pretty much as expected. Their body fat %’s were higher than one would normally want them to be, as the game shape preference would be around 8%, but I think that is something that both will work on as they prepare their conditioning towards NBA play, not just a draft process where they are slated as the top 2 players. Disconcerting, but I do not worry about it much.
    • Kemba Walker and Isaiah Thomas both were taller than I expected, even as the two shortest players at the combine
    • Michael Dunigan and Jeremy Tyler were both longer than I expected, even though I knew they had massive wing spsans
    • When I initially heard Darius Morris measured over 6’5, I had no idea his shoes gave him 2 inches. He still measured well over 6’4 with shoes, but I find it hard to go crazy about a players measurement with shoes being over 1.5 inches. Odds are, they will not be playing in lifts all of the time. This goes for Marcus Morris being close to 6’9 with shoes on. Thinking 6’8 is the right height to list dude at.
    • Jordan Hamilton measuring a legit 6’8 with shoes on has to be good for his stock. He and Tyler Honeycutt were not as long as once thought, but still measured impressively.

My top 10 players that were helped by purely measurements include:

    1. Nikola Vucevic, who has more than legit Center size to go along with his well developed skill set

    2. Jordan Hamilton, who measured at a legit 6’8 and is built incredibly solid, with a frame that can still be improved upon

    3. Klay Thompson, legit 6’7, he may not have his fathers height, but he has fantastic height for an SG

    4. Enes Kanter: He measured as he did last summer, maybe slightly longer, which was all he needed to do.

    5. Tristan Thompson, dude maybe slightly under 6’9, but his length is real, and is key to his impressive shot blocking ability.

    6. Marshon Brooks, height is legit, length makes it all that much better. Stock is soaring.

    7. Iman Shumpert, much taller than those he was competing against and a very solid build

    8. Kawhi Leonard, measured a standard 6’7, but has epic sized hands

    9. Gregory Smith, again, has epic mits. May not have been as tall as once thought, but his length is also incredibly impressive and legit for a young developing center prospect.

    10. Jon Leuer, taller than expected, which definitely helps him out.

Others: Jeremy Tyler (knew he was long, but even lengthier than anticipated), Darius Morris (measured taller than expected), Kyle Singler (nearly 6’9 and with a nice standing reach), Malcolm Lee (good size for a combo), Michael Dunigan (still have no idea what his prospects are of being drafted, but he measured incredibly well. Why could he have not been in this type of pristine shape in college?)

    Top 5 Losers:

    1. Tobias Harris: Am a big fan of Tobias as a prospect, but he measured a lot shorter than expected, and is undersized for his maybe more natural PF position

    2. The Morris Twins: I thought they each lost an inch (that is, unless you believe their sneakers will always give them this much height), and while it was found that neither Marcus or Markieff were T-Rexes, their length is certainly nothing to write home about.

    3. Jimmer Freddette: Remember, this is only going off of measurements, and Jimmer also lost an inch in most peoples books.

    4. Trey Thompkins: Having the highest body fat % is never a good sign, and Thompkins is no DeMarcus Cousins. Definitely needs to trim that down, should take Jordan Williams as an example of doing so.

    5. Brandon Knight: He measured fine in my books, and I really do not think it will effect his draft stock (I rarely think measurements do), but for those who were saying he was taller than Irving and had size to play 2 guard, well, I think the combine told us otherwise.

Chris Singleton is becoming famous for something besides basketball showing off his new clothing line doughpe.

Jon Diebler was the best ping pong player among the draft prospects. He beat Malcolm Lee, also a very good player, six times in a row, including a clutch comeback victory in the final game. Kyrie Irving has some ping pong skills as well but lost to his agent once before getting revenge.

Players that were mentioned as unimpressive in interviews included Scotty Hopson, DeAndre Liggins, Iman Shumpert and LaceDarius Dunn.

    same source as faried above
