Harden the guy . This is what we need theebet a make the frontcort even slower, rubio is a risk i dont want to take. Harden is a fit he can come off the bench anf play shooting gaurd and you can spot him up as a pointgaurd make him a passing 2 gaurd wich he is something like manu and roy. dont trade up or dont trade down take this player now. where going back to the draft next year and the year after that maybe. But now we need harden.

what memphis needs is a time machine and a loaded gun so they can go back to the point where they traded gasol and shoot whoever thought that was a good idea.

Seriously i couldn’t agree more with Ckowlaski…..however i’m glad to see Pau get a title finally…..i’m sure the only reason the guy who thought up the whole “clear capspace” by trading Pau for Kwame Brown thing wasn’t murdered last year sometime was because Marc Gasol ending up doing really well. Anyone else notice we keep getting washed up all-stars?

    Antonie Walker…Steve Francis….Eddie Jones

Memphis is the new retirement team

Haha I never noticed that before. But then again I think there is a difference between clearing cap space and pressing the Team Self Destruct button. I personally think Memphis should have to play LA all 82 games of the season, on the road, until they have a better end of season record than LA does. Then they can justify that trading away their career leader in damn near everything made the team better.

To be honest the paul gasol deal isnt lopsided as it seemed at first with Marc being more agressive, younger, stronger , and it seems he will be just as good as his brother. and if they didnt trade him they would have neither mayo or marc gasol 2 starters with alot of upside and some more future draft picks or would they have the #2 pick this year or going back to the lottery next year picking up 1 of the top players coming to the league and clearing cap space to grab an already established nba player that same summer of 2010. So to really think about it there getting a whole 5 thats able to start just for gasol and they already have rudy mike, and warrick. Lets go memphis.

its not like they traded gasol at the beginning of the season and then tanked though. he got traded around the trading deadline in february so you cant really say they got a whole starting 5 out of it. memphis didnt get any draft picks from la if i remember correctly and they would have been a lottery team regardless. the trade doesnt look as terrible now because marc turned out to be decent but hes not going to be a future allstar lets face it. But out of the other players you traded for, kwame brown, chris mihm, and javaris crittendon only mihm is even still on the team anymore. so when you think about it you really traded pau for his brother and chris mihm. and the right to let 2 other players walk. They would still have mayo if they didnt trade gasol as well. they traded down to get mayo so even if their record was a little better they probably still would have drafted him.

actually mihm was aquired for a 2013 ungarunteed 2nd rd pick, also it was pretty much p.gasol 2nd rd pick (2010)for m.gasol, laker 2010 1st rd pick, grizz 1st rd pick(crittenton was traded to wizards for the 1st rd pick we traded them for JCN) so it wasn’t that lopsided, plus if we still had pau gasol we probably wouldn’t have mayo beacuse would would have been a better team and not get as good a pick

its too bad JCN left man…he did really well his rookie year….i’m really feeling the harden idea…we need to NOT pull a sam bowie and draft for need and draft for talent…look at our starting line-up every single person is an up and comer if we drafted for talent the worst case scenario is we get another role player to help out the bench….having a 6th man would def help solidfy the growth of this team taking pressure off the starters when/if they have bad games

im saying we gave a player that wouldnt get us a ring for a future of talented players for years to coming we will be in the lottery for the next 2 or 3 years and if you read in my post im about to put below harden makes alot of sense

“ppl say Harden doesnt have any upside haaaaaaaaaa hes coming in the league younger they roy and manu look at their level of play and imagine how harden game will be. he can make his right hand strong as his left try to improve his speed
and defense working on shooting. Where talking about a player with not many flaws thats major. kobe bryant another player with not many flaws at 19 drafted at a young age late in the lottery and traded. harden was turn over prone beacuse the defense focused on him and the ball was in his hand most the game he turned pendagraph to a poteinal draftee. he checked out to be 1 of the best athletes in the combine, Now im not saying hes the next kobe but what i will say is sg never get takin when they should in the draft jordan 3rd, wade 4th or 5th, kobe almost slipped out the lottery. last year mayo was traded from the t wolves when he could of done a better job then foye at the 2 gaurd spot. passing on harden will be a big mistake memphis need to draft him at number 2”
