The Dunk Contest/3 Point Shootout takes place on Thursday March 29 at 6 (don’t know whether EST or PST)
The Reese’s All-Star game is Friday March 30 4:35 EST/1:35 PST and will be aired on TruTV on March 31 at 1 pm EST/10 am PST.
Only seniors can compete in these events, so if they are listed, they are not coming back to college next year. Still, the NCAA Dunk contest tends to be epic for one reason or another.

aamir543ParticipantI could understand keeping the All-Star game a seniors only event, but it would be nice to guys like Anthony Davis in the dunk contest, or Brad Beal in the three point shootout. They should obviously give Seniors priority, and let an underclassmen do somthing if there is an open spot. Should be a nice game, but I think the East should be able to win this one.

providencefriars1ParticipantThat all star game does not look very enticing, would be nice to see some of the best seniors in there but I assume they rejected invites.

M-EazyParticipantMaybe I’m out the loop but I had no clue this all star game even existed. I’ve seen the dunk and 3point contest but it’s always a part of Final Four weekend; this seems separate.

mikeyvthedonParticipantThat is why I put them in to two categories. I did not even know of this games existence either, but it is just going to be the Friday before the Final 4, which will be after the Dunk/3 point contest. Even have separate sponsors and everything. Just grouped it all together in one post rather than making a separate one for each event. If you read the bottom, I think it would all be clear.
Aamir, I like that these are seniors only. These are guys that have used up there eligibility and a select few get a nice reward for doing so, which is not exactly common now a days with great players. Not to mention, these contests have never included players from teams that have actually made the Final 4, so that scratches out Davis. They still compete in Midnight Madness contests for your youtube viewing pleasure. But, I have no squabbles with leaving this to the seniors who are for the most part done their college experience.
As far as the ASG goes, it has some fun players and guys who had great seasons. I am all about the West in this one, though the East has a slight size advantage. Never knew about this game, but glad to see Devoe made it. Plus, I find it hard to believe you are going to root against Jorge Gutierrez, Aamir. For shame!
