I think Currys profile need some serious modifications,

Athleticism 8 or 9 (nice vert, strong and quick) what else do we want.
size 8 at least ( considered a PG)
strenght 8 ( he did very well in the benches)

As many other prospects need profile changes based on results, Harden would have better numbers also. Specially quickness.

can be a little deceiving. I don’t think either Harden or Curry are above average athletes when it comes to in game situations at the NBA level. I think Curry is gonna struggle getting penetration in half court sets becuase he just does not have blow by you type abilities. When he tried to force the issue against some of the better teams he faced last year he had a lot of turnovers.

But I think Curry will get by people because they have to contest his shot. All he has to do is pump fake and they have to bite, that will lead to him getting pass guys often. Remember the big dunk in the lane he had against Duke he yammed one down hard on the brake with defenders in the lane. Curry is 4 real I am sold on that kid. He should not make it to 8 in this draft. If he does a lot of teams have made a mistake.

I’m not trying to hate on the dude and maybe I’m just completley wrong about him. But I’m not sold on him at all. I watched about 6 of his games this last year and each time I was just focused on him and trying to see how his game would translate. And I just don’t see the quickness off the dribble that NBA pg’s, are at least elite one’s anyways, need to have. I saw a lot of prolonged stretches in games hwere he would score most his points in about a 10-15 minute stretch, but would be held in check the rest of the game.

There’s no question that he could shoot the lights out, but so could Reddick, Langdon, and Respert just to name a few. My opinion of him has gone up since I’ve been chatting on here, but I still think top 10 is gonna prove to be a reach for him.

You know, the “strength” measurement at the Combine is the bench press. That is soo not representative of NBA strength. Bench Press only shows how strong your pecs, shoulders and arms are. It doesn’t show core strength or lower body strength. I’m pretty sure guys know that they’re being measured in the Bench press so they put in extra hours in the weight room working on Bench Press so that NBA personel think they’re stronger than they are.

The lane quickness test is garbage also as in an actual game, there are defenders who move, a shot clock to beat, and open team mates to look for. I mean, looking at the measurements, it looks ridiculous as some Big Men do not measure that much worse than the quicker guards.

Comparison. Stephen Curry cannot be an elite player in the NBA. And the only reason I’m saying that is so he might see it and want to prove me wrong and I hope he does.
