tblazer_NZParticipantStephen Curry two games left and he needs 9 3pm to break Ray Allen’s single season record of 269.
. Ray Allen played 78 games that season and if Stephen Curry plays the last 2 he will also have played 78. Curry hit 9 of 15 in his last game at the Lakers so he could get it in his next game or make it easier if he can get 6 so he doesn’t have to push as hard. If he gets it then he would have taken less shots to do so.Does he make it? I say yes but that is more out of hope than anything else. What is your opinion?

GrandmamaParticipantHe’s got it. He’ll be chucking away the last two games for sure.

PyronParticipanti dunno. i don’t think he’ll break it. he’s such a deadly shooter i won’t be surprised if he does though.
it would suck if his chances are lowered by his minutes being shorter in preparation for the playoffs.

Mr. HookShotParticipantAllen’s record is from 2005/2006, the record before that is Dennis Scott’s from 1995/1996 (with the 3pt-line being a little different/closer), which makes the number of years between breaking records shorter. Are shooter’s these day just better at shooting three-pointers or are more players trigger-happy and thus shooting a lot of threes?

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantDon’t know what’s more impressive, the fact that he’s almost going to break the record or that he can actually play 78 games this season.

Bird_YearsParticipantSteph is also on track to shoot higher from 3 point land than from inside the arc. Has anybody ever done that before while putting up close to as many shots as he his?
I checked and Ray Allen almost did during his last year with Boston

CynthiaParticipantHe got 7 tonight…only 2 to go. I think he’s got it in the bag, unless he rests the final game.

PyronParticipanti stand corrected.. if he plays in his last game. he’ll break it. i’m sure he’s fully aware that he can make history so you’ll be jackin up 3s like no tomorrow!

tblazer_NZParticipantWith the last game being vs Portland he will get it as Portland doesn’t have a shot at containing him with their defence as it is terrible.

r377ParticipantCurry has been great all this season and GS have moved up in the standings.
Do you think he might be in the discussion for all nba second or third team ?
