Lotto StudParticipantWould you still consider the following Elite dunkers
- Josh Smith
- Gerald Henderson
- Michael Beasley
- Patrick Ewing Jr.
- Bill Walker
- Lou Williams
- Julian Wright
- Derrick Favors
- John Wall

Da1potParticipantOnly Smith for me because all of the others have been very underexposed as far as dunking goes…… Wall rarely dunks in games for some reason and the rest of these guys either don’t get that much PT ( Ewing, Favors, Wright, Walker) or it isn’t their game (WIlliams is a shooter and Beasley also hangs out on the wing a lot).

Lotto StudParticipant- Josh Smith – I really don’t see him being able to do all the things he could do because he bulked up.
- Gerald Henderson – Many loved him but I never thought he was Elite.
- Michael Beasley – I still would love to know did he take a step back.
- Patrick Ewing Jr. – On the fence with him because he is so talented.
- Bill Walker – I think the knee injuries got the best of him.
- Lou Williams – Vert always been there. Would be the darkhorse in a dunk contest, but who knows what he will do now.
- Julian Wright – Was he just a HS dunker?
- Derrick Favors – I most definitely think his size got the best of him. I don’t think he has the finess anymore.
- John Wall – I think he took a stepback as well. He is one of those guys who will show up whenever he wants.

ilike.panochasParticipantNone of those guys are elite Dunkers to me. Josh Smith WAS an elite dunker, but he has bulked up to 245lbs and doesn’t have the same body control he once had.

Lotto StudParticipantwhat do you see in the following dunkers then?

Kinguy11ParticipantThe only dunker in that list that is in the ELITE catergory is Josh Smith. However I think may one day John Wall couldbecome an elite dunker.

ilike.panochasParticipantThe word "elite" to me is very exclusive club. I consider elite Dunkers the last 10 years are VCarter, JRichardson, Josh Smith, DRose (and there’s more I’m not going to list them all). But the ones you listed I would consider good-great Dunkers, and some of them are just great athletes but not great Dunkers. There fore none of them are elite in my eyes.

butidonthavemoneyHow on Earth is Derrick Favors not fit?

Da1potParticipant^^^ I think he might mean finesse opposed to fitness but it doesn’t really make sense to me either way

TeamShowtimeLakersParticipantall are good dunkers but the only ones i would say is elite is prolly gerald henderson and josh smith…with pat ewing jr being a darkhorse.

PureshooterParticipantI’ve never been overly impressed with Wall’s dunks. I know he’s freakishly fast and has a great vert, but that doesn’t always translate to a great dunker.
