Lotto StudParticipantCan anyone figure out a comparison for him? I had seen 1 on draftexpress.com that I think kind’ve fits him which is a better Joe Forte. They are similar to me in an aspect of how their motion in the game is @ a slow steady pace. If you think you have the perfect comparison please post??????

SupParticipantWho cares, he just isn’t that relevant apparently. He is a bit of a tweener and just got cut from the USA team.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantsomebody (I think on this site actually) once compared him to Joe Dumars and I kinda liked that…

RUDEBOY_ParticipantYeah..Mayo reminds me of Joe Dumars…
I’ve seen alot of people compare him to Kobe..i just dont see it..

bennydabullParticipantHis best comparison is probably Ovinton J’Anthony Mayo
But for real the Joe Dumars comparison is pretty close. Maybe Ray Allen without the pure stroke, though Mayo can still shoot

GoingthruathangParticipantMayo is a smaller version of Joe Johnson

jesusshuttlesworthParticipantjoe johnson is suprisingly athletic and him being 6 9 really opens up the game for him, mayo seems like a great athlete, but struggles to use it to his advantage as well as alot of his peers

White ChocolateParticipantNot as clutch, less winning version of Chauncey Billups?…

32mayo86Participanti would say he is a mix of chauncey and kobe he takes after thier game…. he has some of the footwork and demenor like kobe…. he isnt as athletic as kobe but he is a way better athlete and scorer than chauncey but they have the same scorers mentality and the ability to be unslefish and early on were both stuck in position limbo are they pgs sg or can the do both and be interchangeable but i wouldnt call (18ppg 4 rpg 3asp 45%fg 38%3pg) irrevalant espcially since most nights he is our second third or fourth option if we didnt have the talent we had Gay Gasol Randolph he would most certainly put up the numbers that rose and reke post dominanting the ball and having the ultimate green light and even so is isnt far behind jus 2pg 1rg the assist he is further a way but we are one of the wort teams in terms of assist our players go one on one way to much an almost always dribble before shooting our starting pg only gets 5 asp

Are you high? Based on the name, I guess you’re just biased.
You can’t even put OJ Mayo and Kobe Bryant in the same sentence. Mayo’s been trying to copy Kobe’s demeanor and footwork since he played in a few pickup games with him while he was attending Southern Cal.
IF Mayo starts making better decisions with the ball in his hands, I think he could become a Billups type of guard. I’ve heard people say he could be an Arenas type, but Mayo isn’t as athletic nor does he attack the basket enough.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantMayo’s average first-step and underwhelming wingspan (6’6 on a 6’4 body) really limit his ability to get to the hoop and finish. I really like the Billups comparison, but he’s still got a ways to go to equal “Mr. Big Shot.” I know it’s just Summer League, but he didn’t look anything like a point guard during his little “experiment” this summer.

Imaking6004ParticipantA undersized 2 guard who scores primarily from the perimeter…Cuttino Mobley with better scoring ability.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWith the Grizzles’ hold over him coming to an end very soon(after they exercise their team options and fail to resign him)…He will certainly get a Big Deal and become a Real Deal # 1 option…he’s going through the motions right now because they have a black hole Zac Randolph and an under achieving Gay taking most of the shots…The team has giving up On Mike Conley at Pg of the Future and Really should consider trading Gay for a more Versatile less selfish SF if they want to keep Mayo after he becomes a RFA in 2 years …He’s easily a 20 plus point scorer on the next team he plays for….

PureshooterParticipantJoe is 6’7″
He really reminds me of a more skilled, but less explosive version of Eric Gordon.
