Along with obviously the Heat, the Bulls and Bucks are undoubtedly the most improved teams ATM. Who between the 2 in your opinion though, has the stronger depth that puts them ahead of the other as serious finals contenders. IMO, i can’t honestly tell, but i question both their backup point and center (CJ/Kurt 4 CHI) (Dooling/Gooden 4 Bucks). Should be exciting to watch how the East plays out in time for the playoffs though.

I think the Bucks have better depth. I think there the strongest and best rebounding team in the East. I believe Dooling, Douglas Roberts, Hobson, Redd ( once he returns), Gooden, Brockman would be pretty scary.

I don’t know…Boozer, Noah, and Taj are all very good rebounders.

I think the Bucks have a better bench though.

The Bulls have a better starting rotation, anyone who doesn’t think so is a little slow. The Bucks a very nice bench though, I mean Maggette is a strong 6th man, depending on if he starts or Illyasova, and adding CDR, Dooling and having Gooden is a well rounded bench.

All that said, if they were to meet in the playoffs, I think the Bulls would win fairly easily…

I answered the question: Better DEPTH.

The Bucks have better depth. To me, Depth is take the starters away- What team has the better set of players and I call Milwaukee.

I wouldn’t go that far. The Bucks did pretty well in the playoffs without their best player, and ZERO depth. With Boguy healthy, and more decent players I think it would be a exciting series. The Bulls might lack defense with Rose, Boozer, and who ever plays the 4 for them while the Bucks with Skiles as coach will probably be the better defensive team, along with the better shooting team. Would be fun to watch

Drew Gooden is the backup Center. He’s 6-10 and could play the Center position in the East.

The Bucks will probably start Jennings, Maggette, Salmons, Gooden, and Bogut. I envision a three man rotation up front with Gooden playing both spots and Ilyasova getting playing the 4 when he and Gooden are in together. Skiles didn’t sound too high on Sanders or Gallon’s ability to get on the floor next year, so my guess is that Brockman would be the fourth big. Against small teams, they can also get Mbah a Moute some time at the 4 as well. I like the depth at the 2 with Delfino, and Mbah a Moute is a good matchup play when they have to face a tough scorer. I think going from Ridnour to Dooling is a downgrade, but if Jennings makes a leap in his second year to keep Dooling from playing as much as Ridnour did it will make sense given the salary differences.

Have you seen the Bucks play? He’s a main rotation player for them.

Maggette at the 2? Salmons at the 3? Maybe you wanna switch that around.

If I’m Milwaukee, I bring Maggette off the bench. I’d start Delfino over him. I think Maggette is best in a 6th man instant offense role, especially since Coach Skiles probably won’t like his brand of defense.

I haven’t had much of a chance to throw this is yet:

I don’t think there’s a guy who’s been picked up this offseason who fits with his new coach better than Brockman fits with Skiles. Brockman is going to give all he has every night and isn’t afraid to get a little physical even though he’s somewhat undersized.

But to answer the question, the Bucks can probably go a little deeper into their bench, but I think the Bulls are still better and their depth isn’t too shabby either.

I think both of their back up centers and points are ok. What I question of the Bulls is how the plan to space the floor with a starting line up of Rose, Brewer, Deng, Boozer, and Noah. I think the Bucks are solid at every position including their back ups but I don’t think they have enough star power to win anthing more than the 1st round of the playoffs.

Ill give the edge on the bench to Milwaukee. Gooden and Brockman backing up at center is not terrible especially since they have one of only 2 real post threats at center in the east. The Bucks said that they’ve tried to add guys on their bench that have their own specialties. Ilyasova has the length and can shoot it, Delfino is solid all around and his three from the corner is deadly. Sanders will add the length and energy, Brockman is a straight up horse and was the best offensive rebounder in the league last year and Luc Richard is their stopper.

Just excited for the season to start. Were gonna have some battles in the central between these 2 teams

Maggette will not start…Skiles is a defensive minded coach and Maggette will best be served coming off the bench. Skiles doesn’t put up with anything.
