TruettParticipantCount me as a former memeber of the T-rob might be smaller than listed group, but he looks to be about the same size as Sullinger 6’9”-6’10 in shoes legit nba pf size… sullinger might have half an inch, but he looks like a pear too… just wanted to say that.

M-DYMESParticipantRobinson is fukin HUGE!!! That kid has a monster body. I like how that projects to the NBA.

mgreener_34ParticipantIn regaurdes to Sullinger, I’ve never seen someone get blocked so much in my life! He plays like he’s 6’6

mouchy18Participant@ Mgreener…have you ever seen glen " big baby Davis play lol I’m sure sulli will give him a run for most shots blocked in the league…
Both guys same build, same athleticism and im betting same nba results for sulli

F_DA_POParticipantat least kansas won because that travel call on withey was horrible. I didn’t even understand that. I think everyone thought that was an and 1.

BiggysmallsParticipantGood for Kansas. I was hoping OSU would win because I think they match up with UK better, but I cant help but feel happy for TRob, Bill Self and the whole Kansas squad that was overlooked heavily coming into this season.
Sullinger does look alot like Glen Davis and as unpopular a comparison it may be for a guy who will go in the lottery, it seems rather spot on.
Robinson is a guy I hvae a hard time comparing to somebody in the league right now. My best comparison would be a younger Kenyon Martin but Robinson might be stronger inside. He is a stud and if he measure 6’10 hes a lock to go number 2 barring some crazy lottery happening (which is never out of the question), but I think he will measure closer to 6’8.5 or so.

r377ParticipantLet the T-Rob vs MKG at no2 overall begin now 🙂 haha

MalcolmxParticipantThomas Actually got measured at 6’10 in sneakers last summer in a camp. I believe because he is not a twig and has so much muscle that it makes him look shorter.Because we all think a guy who is a twig is so tall but some times they are not as tall as they look.Further more I seen when they gave handshakes to eachother at the end of the game and Jared and Trob looked about the same height. Also I think Sulli will get blocked a lot in the league but he will still be solid.

HarbingerWe are not going to act like T rob had a monster game if it wasnt for the foul trouble of thomas we know what the outcome would have been .Playing with some one thats not going to the nba but that could keep up with him made T-rob look subpar but when the bench player thats play not center not pf but plays FSB "fat slob in the middle" become his match up because of foul trouble he gets going.Where was this earlier OHIO beat themselves as stated before OHIO had a better chance of beating the wildcats then the hawks do just error sat them out thomas put up his regular nothing amazing.Sad day for osu fans I just didntg understand the turning the ball over twice in last 60 seconds or craft going against KU’s center after getting blocked each time.
Im sorry to say but it seems Thad matta only coaches the 3 ball. He doesnt have a go to play in close games for the buck eye to go to they just shoot the 3p or pray something happens off the dribble right or wrong? He and another big name coach who will be in the champuonship game doesnt seem to develope players to make them nba ready also look how conley, oden, turner, wall, top 5 picks struggled first few nba years.
Im just not a big fan of thad matta or his sweat problem.

TRC1991Participantwow jared sullinger can not get off the ground.

mgreener_34ParticipantWas anyone else impressed with Robinsons’ handles? He led the break a couple times in this game, and even had a few nice spin moves and shake and bakes. It was fun watching these two play each other because I fell like they represent the two types of PF’s in the league today. One was a inside scorer who can hit the midrange, and the other is all hustle and athletisism.

juicejc1ParticipantDon’t you think Kansas size inside led to Thomas being in foul trouble? We can not say what the outcome would’ve been because who knows if Robinson would have eventually got it going against Thomas and if Thomas would have struggled shooting the ball or even vice versa. Kind of a broad claim to make.

M-DYMESParticipantThis game should kill Sullinger’s stock.
Further proof that he can’t handle defenders with NBA length and size. I am not, nor have I ever been, high on his NBA prospects.

HarbingerThe fouls that thomas picked up where petty fouls 2 were offensive the 7 foot guy didnt have much an offensive game to stop and t rob was under wraps I think he scored four to six points on thomas if that come on the back up big let t-robgo off.OHIO beat themselves poor coaching ,poor turnovers, poor basketball when 11 point league and the other team is playing bad at the half you should pull out more in win.No one on kansas had a monster game or did anything amazing like anthony davis did today how do you let them come back and win when does the coach till the the 6 foot pg not to go head to head with the 7 footer after getting blocked everytime.
its sick.
Im looking forward to the draft and the combine the next two years there arent any top recruits coming to ohio and they want make the tourney so I wont be watching much college ball besides shabazz at kentucky or nash at okc.
Atleast I have magic city and game of thrones to look forward to this month.

JoeWolf1Sullinger was terrified to take a shot when he thought Jeff Withey was in the general area. 5-19 tonight, I’m not going to say one game sums up a guy’s overall talent, but this should drop him out of the top 10 IMO. Not only did he look intimidated by a legit 7′ shot blocker, but he looked defeated when Kansas took the momentum.
He does have a tremendous wingspan. There were times I thought he had no chance on certain rebounds and defensive contentions, but he looked like stretch Armstrong and grabbed it anyways. I think he could play limited minutes at Center in the league, but I don’t think he’s anything more than a role player at the next level.

bloodshyParticipantCarlos Boozer. Thick, strong, soft touch, rebounding machine — and obvious limited athleticism. Those factors caused Booz to fall into the 20s. Sully will still go late lotto due to his fairly consistent high production. I see him being somewhere between big baby and booz as an NBA player. It’s disappointing because some hoped Sully would become a star, but that’s still very strong value for a late lotto pick.

BiggysmallsParticipantPeople underrate Carlos Boozer and easily forget who good he was with the Jazz. He has a complete offensive game and his athleticism is much better then he gets credit for. Defensively he is bad but hes been a 20 and 10 guy for years before an injury laiden tenure with Chicago.
I think Sullinger compares favorable to Glen Davis. I dont see him being more than a 8-12 ppg and 5-8 rpg type player. He should stay another year honestly and continue to develop his body and if he does stay OSU will continue to be a power

mouchy18ParticipantNo way does sulli compare to boozer…boozer is much quicker and plays with average athleticism for a nba pf. Sulli is below average pf and has no face up quickness. Biggysmalls he should & has to leave now cause his stock will continue to drop…coming back hurt the stock of all the last yrs highly regarded kids. Lesson learned is get ur money while it’s hot because their is always a new class and late bloomers that will take ur spot

kaanyrvhokParticipantI agree with the Boozer comparison. If Sullinger continues his offseason work he will be fine. Kansas put a 7 footer on him then ran doubles whenever he put the ball on the floor. He is a better deep post scorer and rebounder than Boozer. He is just going to need a work ethic to match Boozer’s outside game. Boozer’s shot improved a lot.

bloodshyParticipantBooz improved his game through hard work. He developed a 15-18 foot jumper in the NBA and has never developed a real above-the-rim game. He worked within the physical limitations he was dealt by becomming highly skilled. He only has 2-3 good post moves and combines those w/a solid mid-range J. None of his moves are above the rim, though he’s become very good at using his body to create space.
Obviously, Sully the collegiate soph is not close to the post all-star Booz. But entering the pro’s, if anything, Sully is a bit ahead of where Booz was leaving Duke. And the comment about Booz being much faster–simply wrong. He has some highly developed post moves that are hard for defenders to adjust to, but he has little true speed and very little leaping ability. If he’s ahead of Sully in those categories it’s not by much.
Booz is a great example of what someone w/Sully-type physical limitations (and gifts) can become if they work hard and get all the right breaks (DWill, O centered around him for years).

JoeWolf1I see a lot of similarities to Mike Sweetney. I’m not sure why Sweetney’s career was cut so short, maybe weight? but he was promising as a young guy. I remember when he played with the Bulls he was a 10 and 5 type player who could come off the bench for post offense.
I imagine Sullinger’s career longer and better than Sweetney’s but I think they’ll start out very similarly, I think Sullinger’s top seasons will be around 12-13 ppg and 7 rebounds or so. A great guy to snag in the 11-14 range at the end of the lotto. I would not take him top 10, though.

chocboywndrParticipantI think they both will struggle next year. Sullinger reminds me of Corliss Williamson. Good college player not enough lift to play inside in NBA. The last really dominant undersized power forward was Larry Johnson prior to the back injuries. You need to super explosive inside plus have a bag of post moves and a killer motor. Sullinger doesn’t have those traits.
Robinson has athletic ability but does not have enough moves inside moves to get by at high level. Post moves are a lost art. 2 moves doesn’t cut it at highest level. To me he isn’t as good as Derrick Williams and they are about the same size. I dont think either one is their listed height either, he may not be much shorter but the college beast and NBA beast are two different animals.
