Meditated StatesParticipantWich non rookie has been the most impressive and might make a team?
Wich guy has really let you down and now you feel they are not an NBA player or might struggle a while?0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 5:47am #348965
MagikKnickParticipantJames Augustine has looked pretty good, I can see him on an NBA roster next season..
As for a let down, I think you gotta go with Favors, showed some signs, but for the #3 pick, i’d expect him to be doing much better in summer league…

Bryant24ParticipantTerrence Williams he has good court vision and i expect a major improvement from him next year

Mr. JewboyParticipantPJ tucker played allright, nothing special but i know he excellent-he single handedly took the israeli championship from Maccabi tel aviv after 15 straight years that they won it
evan turner is pretty dissapointing as he was supposedly the “most NBA ready”, but i still believe in him0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 5:53am #348971
JNixonParticipantThe biggest undrafted surprise has to be James Augustin. He’s hustled and banged, and has also been scoring by using his mid-range jumper. Like Magikknick said, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he was on Utah (or some other teams) roster next year.
I feel that Evan Turner has been a disappointment. I thought he’d be able to play without the ball, since he did a good bit in his Sophomore year at OSU, but he’s been ineffective off the ball. He will be given time to get it together, but he’s underachieved so far.

JoeWolf1Josh McRoberts has played pretty well, but I don’t really think its going to translate to the regular season. He’ll average 5 pts and 3 boards off the bench, but I think he’s gotten better since joining the league. Same goes for Ewing Jr., he’s played pretty well, but I don’t think he’ll be more than a 9-12th man in the NBA.
I agree with MagicKnick, You’d think he’d be pulling in double digit rebounds at least. It did take him a while to adjust to college ball last year, he was playing leagues better last April than he was in October, but for #3 you should be doing better in Summer League.

PlatypusParticipantJosh Mcroberts has impressed me
Shakur from OKC has let me down i was planning on seeing him work hard and try to compete with Weaver for the last guard spot in the rotation

WizardofOzParticipant1. Jodie Meeks has really impressed me with his aggressive mentality and scoring ability and I think that he has a really good shot to make the 76ers roster next season,
2. Evan Turner has really let me down so far. As the #2 pick, he should be playing much better. I know it’s just the Summer League, but still. He’s not shooting well from the field, is not playing good D, and pouts at refs too much. I still think he will be a good NBA player, but he’s just been a disappointment so far.

PlatypusParticipantDJ White has also impressed

PureshooterParticipantI agree with Augustine. He should take Koufos’ spot in the rotation. Koufos has looked slow footed and out of shape.

Anton123ParticipantShakur often looks like a NBA player
BJ Mullens has really improved, I remember last summer league he looked really bad0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/08/2010 - 7:01am #349020
B-ball fanParticipantLuke Harangody looks pretty good for a late second round pick he plays hard and has a pretty nice shot, although his shots will be much better contested in the NBA.
DJ White also looks impressive. He plays hard, rebounds and can hit shots.
Latavious Williams also looks like he could find a niche in the NBA as a high energy rebounder who runs the court and defends.
Eric Maynor looks like he can run a team. He could be an excellent back-up pg for the Thunder and looks like he could start at one point in his career if he continues to improve as a pg, and gets a better shot.Evan Turner looks a little lost playing without the ball. He just doesn’t have a great shot. The Sixers may struggle next year since none of their perimeter players are great shooter.

flibbenmcgParticipantIve been surprised by Patrick Ewing Jr, I didnt think he had a snowballs chance of making a team, but he really could get a spot on the magic.
The most dissapointing so far for me has been Daniel Orton, I wasnt expecting 20 and 10 but holy cow, this guy has been freakin terrible, he gets blocked alot, turns it over alot, pouts at every foul. Youd expect a first rounder to show at least a little bit of talent at some point during a game.0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/10/2010 - 4:27am #351042
Mr. JewboyParticipantwhy didnt avery bradley play for the celtics?

stanford hoops2 biggest let downs have been favors(no suprise on my part except for his bad d and lack of rebounding) and turner. He seems to be having trouble with the speed. Paul Davis has been one of if not th most impressive non rookie
