I found myself watching the MIA-PHI game and thinking about their recent draft picks and young players. Looking ahead to Summer League 2011 what players are you excited to see (non-rookies)? What players are you hoping can make a big step forward?

*You may ask yourself why in the h*** am I writing about the summer league in April when a great playoff season is just getting off the ground? A: I have a future possibilities problem. Dont judge me. NBAdraft.net owns me.

 

My list of players I’m excited to see (only non-rookies):

Dexter Pittman (MIA)- Did fat boy put down the donuts?

Evan Turner (PHI)- Improved off-ball game/jump shot

Craig Brackins (PHI)- Possible Brand replacement in the future?

DeSean Butler (SA/FA)- Finally healthy?

Jarvis Varnado (FA)- Always liked his defense…..shit blocking beast

Jerome Jordan (NY)- Still skinny?

Avery Bradley (BOS)- Real PG or combo?

Xavier Henry (MEM)- Has he learned how to DRIVE?

Armon Johnson (POR)- I say let Miller walk, put Roy at the point and have Armon as backup along with Mills

Elliot Williams (POR)- Healthy?

Victor Claver? (POR)- Have never even seen his game

Larry Sanders (MIL)- Long athlete with loads of potential

Terrico White (DET)- Freak athlete….anything of substance?

Cole Aldrich (OKC)- Future backup for Perkins?

Earl Clark (ORL)- I refuse to give up on this guy….showed flashes in very limited time in ORL

 Wasn’t summer league cancelled this year because of the anticipation of the lockout ???

There were reports that it was cancelled, but Summer League officials then came out to say no desicion has been made yet, so it’s not official.
