Where do you think Eric Devendorf, Paul Harris, and Jonny Flynn will get drafted. I think Jonny is a lotto pick, Devendorf is a late first round to early second round, and Harris a second round pick.

Jonny Flynn is a lottery pick
Eric and Paul Harris will be lucky if they get drafted.

Eric and Harris are COMPLETELY OPPOSITE players.
Eric is very inathletic, but can shoot the lights out,
Harris is crazily athletic, but cannot hit a jumper.

Jonny Flynn late lottery or mid first round. Neither of the other two will be first rounders and might not get drafted at all.

Jonny Flynn is def a Lottery pick. Eric Devendorf may be able to play over seas because he is a great ball player but i don’t think will get draftes. I think Paul Harris can be a good NBA player if he can Mix a Jump Shot with athletic abilities.

I dont think Devendorf gets drafted, his game will fit in nicely in Europe though. He is going to make plenty of money. I think Paul Harris is a draft pick, I think he can be an elite lockdown defender in the league. He is similar to Bill Walker, minus the ACL tear, but also minus an inch or two. A team who wants a player in the second round should jump on him, he will be a good player off the bench.

Here I go! Devendorf is definately a second round pick. Call it crazy, but I also saw Reynaldo Balkman picked in the first round. Crazy things happen on draft day; hence the NFL draft last week. Contrary to belief, he plays good defense and averaged almost 2 steals a game before his ACL injury. Really, that’s the whole point of the draft debate was his injury. Had it not been for that, there would be no denying his talent. He has been Syracuse’s go to scorer since his sophomore year. He just talks a lot, but he’s very bright. He’s getting his degree and another year of school wouldn’t have done much. Again, he will get drafted if the NFL draft was any indication of things to come.

Harris is truely a lockdown defender; he’s very athletic and fast. He almost declared out of high school and should be the poster boy for heading to college. He could be the steal of the DRAFT if he learns how to shoot. Maybe if he was picked by San Antonio. He played a year at prep school, so really this was his fifth year in college, so should really leave school now.

Flynn is a lottery pick and the best available American point guard. I say American becuase I’ve only seen Ricky Rubio play one time, so I’m not sold by any means.

Whether Eric and Harris get drafted in the 2nd round or not doesn’t matter that much, because they probably wouldn’t stay in the league for long anyways. Look at all the 2nd rounders, 2/3 of them get waivered eventually, especially the 50-60 picks, they almost never stay it long.

Flynn will be a lottery pick. But do you think Devendorf or Harris will withdrawel their names from the draft like Lawson and Ellington last year?

Devendorf can’t return to Syracuse because he signed with an agent.

I get the idea that you are an SU fan, and as a fellow die-hard Syracuse supporter, I really hope that you are right!

That said, I dont see Harris nor Devendorf really getting picked…

Devendorf, while talented, does not have an NBA-offensive game. he’s not explosive, not a pass-first guard, won’t be able to create shots for himself and honestly, has a really ugly-looking (but effective) jump shot – watch that ball spin sideways on the release! If I’m wrong, he is AT BEST a less athletic Keyon Dooling.

As for Harris, I have him sneaking in the bottom of Round 2, but more because I like him and less because he deserves it. He’s terribly undersized for SF, cannot shoot a lick for a SG, no handles for a PG. So what does he do? He’d be a great asset defensively and a terrific rebounder for a SG. You need to coach him to shoot and how to drive vs. NBA defenders. If you can do that, and you can afford to wait 5 years, you MIGHT have an undersized Ime Udoka. But that’s a stretch for sure.

Flynn of course, is a lottery pick or close to it. Depends on how you like your PG’s but I have him rated high, and not just due to the fact he was an Orange[man].
