Apparently Syracuse is being investigated once again (last I heard, it was something regarding the way that Fab Melo was handled last year).

And I’m sorry I didn’t provide the link to the article. Just not in the mood to deal with this crap again, and I’m sick of this shit coming out days before the tournament starts. This has supposedly been an ongoing investigation for at least a couple months now. No reason for this timing besides the fact that it’ll create more of a shitstorm right before the tournament.

I am a fan of Syracuse but just have a feeling the NCAA has the school in their cross hairs and it is only a matter of time before they find something and decide to make it public. Once the NCAA starts looking into a school for violations, they very rarely walk away without finding something.

I just hope it is minor.

Maybe Boeheim is the fall guy, he retires and the program moves on. Kind of like the UCONN story, ironically.

Nothing specific in regards to the actual violations , just been hearing Hopkins was going to take the USC job if offered, Boeheim was going to “retire” and we were going to get hammered with sanctions. Like I said, never liked Boeheim, didnt think he was a big game coach. despite all the wins, and just seemed like a miserable person, can’t even imagine some of the stuff he was problably getting in to. The worst part of all this is we probably drove Hopkins out of town, was really looking forward to him taking over

I was looking forward to the Hopkins tenure as well. Coach B seemed particularly miserable this year so could be a product of the NCAA looking into his program. Not sure what the beef was/is with Andy Katz or the off the cuff remarks of “I would rather be golfing somewhere” but maybe it is time for him to move on. Especially when you consider the Big East is dead and the Orange start fresh in the ACC, it seems like the timing is right for Coach B to move on.
