Geoff Petrie set the Kings frontcourt for the next decade with T rob and DMC, I can guarantee that these two men will dominate the league within 2 to 3 years. T rob’s work ethic, passion, and defense will rub off on DMC and will help him realize that they both have the power to completely turn the Kings organization around and will become a playoff contender sooner rather than later, I know I posted something like this last night. But as a Kings fan I’m ecstatic to what is going to happen in the future and I finally have an idea of what kind of team Petrie has been trying to build the past 5 years. It’s all starting to finally come together. ESPECIALLY if the reports are true and Tyreke is working extra hard on his game and most importantly his jumpshot. Future is bright in Sac Town

I agree this will be a good future front court. Cousins has actually already started playing hard and having great work ethic after the firing of Westpaul.

It will be interesting to see how their chemisty develops.  Cousins and Robinson have strong personalities that will clash, hopefully in a positive explosive way.

Their personalities remind me of Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace of the championship team. Rasheed is like DMC and Ben is like Robinson personality wise 🙂

Tyreke isnt the problem, the problem is nobody can shoot, if Tyreke’s jumper develops then I think the Kings could possibly make the playoffs.

      Starting line up of

      1. Isaiah Thomas

      2. Tyreke Evans

      3. Terrence Williams

      4. Thomas Robinson

      5. Demarcus Cousins

And you got a sharpshooter like Marcus Thornton coming off the bench I think the Kings can make some noise in the West

If Tyreke cannot shoot, then in my opinion he would be part of the problem. If you have guys that can hit perimeter shots then you can open up some space for the big guys. They need some kind of shooting in the starting lineup. Part of buidling a team is getting pieces to fit together. It’s not always about having the best 5 guys. For me, that doesn’t mean they have to overreact and get rid of Evans, but it means that if he is going to start that you need some kind of shooting from your pg and your 3.

I think the best thing to me is the fact you read up on all these guys. And they are sick of losing. They want to win, and are working hard this off season. I don’t know if they will be out of the gate into play off contention. But what I will say is the Kings won’t be the cup cake of the league any longer. I’m already expecting Cousins to be a 20/10 guy next season. But I’m anxious to see if Reke’s shot finally starts to take off. People don’t know but Reke was a phenom in college. Most of this was because of his jumpshot. I think he’ll rekindle something next season.

So what about Jimmer?  Is he done aka Adam Morrison??  Seems like the same kind of situation….Morrison was thrown in with a bunch of selfish players and may have needed 15 shots a game to be anything close to successful….and maybe couldn’t play D whatever.  You know Jimmer wants it and is working out in a gym somewhere doing whatever he can to get better.  However, why haven’t we heard his name????  The media doesn’t pump out one story?  I wonder if he fights Isaiah for the starting job.  I know the little guy proved a lot last year but I’m not so sure he is a starter.  I like the team on paper but the starting five has holes bigger than the Maloof brothers’ pockets.  Zing

and every flaw that scouts said were completley evident

but i didnt know he was such a bad ballhandler

none the less his shot seemed good as advertised not consistent

but he took alot of deep threes and delivered

adam morrison couldnt make a jumpshot in his rookie season at all

i see jimmer probably being a two over the next few seasons

if he doesnt gain some reasonable point skills

      he is a solid backup

As far as learning from one another they couldn’t have drawn up a better duo… Robinson’s work ethic should be contagious in Sacto and Cousins’ skill set should defintiely be something T-Rob keeps tab on moving forward… just imagine either of them with what they already bring to the table with remotely close to the others greatest assets…. Trouble. Come on Reke… now or never.
