I think they should just trade the guy, he obviously doesn’t want to play in Minny and if they don’t trade his rights I don’t think he’ll come over at all. I wanna see him actually play in the NBA because I wanna see if he can live up to the hype. It would be a shame if he decided to be a punk and stay in Europe instead of playing against NBA competition.

yea I agree. He will never play for them especially with Kahn as the GM. He just signed Luke Ridnour. Another point guard!

Part of me agrees with you and part of me doesnt.

I agree in the sense that I think the wolves could get a really nice package in a trade involving him, and I think he is their best trade asset. Who knows if he’s going to be the Jason Kidd type of player everybody thinks he is going to be, so why not just shop him around and see what you can bring back. I have wanted the Wolves to trade Rubio since the second they picked him, not only because I’m not real big fan of Rubio as a whole, but also the fact that he could net a really nice player or 2.

I disagree with what you said because of this: when did he say he doesnt want to come here? I’ve heard rumors about this all the time, and everytime somebody says when did he say that, it is debunked. so…When did he say he doesnt want to come to Minny? I dont think it is a guarentee that he will come over if the Wolves keep sucking, but I also think that the GM has a plan in place and everything he is doing, as quirky as it seems, is to get Rubio to come over and run the team. Kind of like every team cutting money for FA, Kahn is getting guys who can run with Rubio. He’s already acquired a bunch of shooters and long athletic players who can fit with Rubio very nicely.

I still wouldnt be opposed to trading him, but only if it nets them a significant package, which would include either unprotected high draft picks, or solid starter caliber young players.

Look at the type of players being signed/selected… fast, long, young, athletic players chosen that can keep up and play along side Rubio. It’s not a coincidence that Jefferson was the player traded.

Even though the meer Cat Dave Kahn is going about this in a insane fashion I also believe he is doing everything to set up a mid season or off season trade of Flynn To say to ricky come here this is your show and the pieces are in place for him to come here and save a franchise and become a hero. If there is one thing Kahn has said is that there is a plan in place and at this point That is the only plan that has a remote chance of saving his job.
