I love talking bout these guys. They may not be a very good team now, but in a couple of years I think well be seeing a pretty decent squad in Minny.

Jonny Flynn- I still like him. This is only his rookie season and he’s playing with a pretty weak team. I see him potentially developing into a Jamal Crawford type player if he develops on outside jumper.

Corey Brewer- Hes really starting to develop now. He’s a high flyer who really improved his J this season. He also is very long and a solid defender. Could use some added weight but I like his future prospects.

Kevin Love- Love his game. Great passing big man (his outlet passes are amazing), solid outside jumper, great guy on the boards, and a real team player. I hope they keep him as he would be a great fit in the triangle O.

Big Al- I think its a smart move by Kahn to hold on to him at least a bit longer. Big men take time to develop and Al is a very promising player. Could be used as trade bait though as he is not the best fit for the system.

Ryan Hollins- I think he was a real solid acquisition for the T-Wolves. Solid shot blocker, athletic for a big man, and has plenty of potential. I’d like to see him remain in their future plans.

Rubio- The biggest question. Is he coming? Will he be happy? Is he really what all this hype makes him out to be? Is he a good NBA fit? All needs to be seen but I think he will be great especially in the triangle offense if he works on his jumper.

Ramon Sessions- I think he isn’t going to be around for too long. Either he or Rubio is out of there IMO. I wouldn’t be surprised if he winds up in NY. He has plenty of potential but the T-wolves have too many prospects at the PG position once Rubio comes along.

Ellington- I think he will end up as a solid role player but not too much more. He has a nice offensive game but I just don’t see him as starter material any time soon. I think he could be a good fit for the triangle so he is def. someone who they should keep around.

Millicic- I hope he stays. He is playing better in Minny. He won’t be anywhere near what was expected as the #2 overall pick of ’03, but when he’s in the offense seems to run more efficiently. He is also a decent defender and more big bodies always are a plus.

Gomes- One of the better mid range shooters in the game. Again I feel he is a solid role player who shouldn’t be starting. He is capable of putting together a 30 point game here or there but he is anywhere near the type of player to put together big nights on a consistent basis.

Here’s a little request to the big man upstairs….

I ain’t askin for much man but at least let us stay at the 2 spot in the draft. I realize as a Twolves fan asking to move up in the lotto is beyond even your abilities but if we could at least stay at 2 and get either Turner or Wall I will be a satisfied man.

they will suck for a long time. Flynn was a big mistake he is not a starting PG and can’t be crawford because he doesnt have that kind of shot and is 6 inches shorter. Rubio will probably never come to minny unless the trade him for pennies on the dollar. Love and Jefferson can’t play together. Sessions and Pavlovic were awful signings and now Sessions has no value because he stunk this year, wont get much for him anymore.

You do realize that you basically took a 14-55 team and wrote that you like everybody. They don’t have a star, they can’t shoot, and they can’t guard anyone. Those aren’t problems that time is going to heal. I’m not sure anyone on that team other than Al Jefferson starts for a contender. Flynn has some things going for him, but he might ultimately be better off the bench. The only thing Love has ever guarded is his bucket of chicken. Darko’s problem has never been his ability. If he ever matured, he could have been solid. The problem is he is an inconsistent knucklehead, and everything that goes wrong is blamed on someone else. They have the worst collection of wings the league has seen in a long time. I like Rubio as much as anyone, but why would he want to join that? He might be on a more talented team in Barcelona. The lottery could give them a little hope, but they probably need to get a pair of stars and a few more impact players in the next two drafts before they really have much of a chance to improve.

Believe me, they will suck for a while. I live in the Twin Cities and get to watch them frequently, not that there’s any other sport on, I will watch any College game with a Top Prospect over watching them, but I’m also not a hockey fan. Go to Canis Hoopus and check out all the Wolves fans that have nothing good to say about them, they’re awful, and this guy is just plain naive to think all the players the Wolves have are making positive strides. A lot of fans think the only reason they’re playing the Triangle right now is to get players thinking, that they’re not going to use the system long term, just short term to develop the players quicker, to get them thinking more and not just playing off instinct. I honestly think Flynn will be much better than Lawson or Collison long term, but that he’s had to basically throw everything he’s learned about playing ball at the PG position (Pick and Roll) in order to learn from Rambis, he is a great teacher, ask the Lakers and Andrew Bynum. I honestly think only 3 to 5 players at the most come back to this team next year, Love will be gone, a lot of teams really like him, he has quite a bit of value, and what is he at worst, an elite rebounding Okur? Love really is a willing defender, to defend him on the bucket of chicken line, but he just doesn’t have the quickness or agility to match up defensively against athletic, face up, PFs and neither does Al. Al is the much better player, but yes, Love is an elite rebounder, but he has nowhere near the back to the basket ability like Jefferson, you need points in the Half Court, you go to Al, his problem this year is that he’s been injured all year, defensively he’s been too slow to be even a decent weak side defender. Got to get that knee healthy. Flynn will be back for sure too, unless somebody’s high on him, Ellington I’m pretty sure will be back, he’s met quite a few expectations, Brewer might be back, I’d give him more of a 75/25 chance, he’s shown some improvements, but he’s still not a starter, he’s still the Drunken Dribbler, but he has much better confidence this year, also, anyone who says he’s a lockdown D type of player has never seen him play an NBA game, he is not and I wish everybody would stop saying that, he gambles way too much and is not even a Top 30 perimeter defender in the L. The rest will go, Hollins has been terrible, I can’t believe this M Dymes dude thinks he’s worth keeping around, again, I must insist everybody to check out Canis Hoopus, you won’t find one positive thing said about the kid, he’s that bad, he has absolutely no BBIQ, Gomes is also gone, he’s been terrible, and outside of inconsistent shooting he has no skill, is inconsistent shooting a skill? Sessions also will be gone, and to go against popular belief above, he still has a lot of value, he really is a very good young PG, he doesn’t have much of a shot, but he really has very good passing skill and he can get to the rack whenever. Rambis really has put his PGs on a leash this year, not letting them be them, but rather forcing them to make mistakes and learn from them, believe me, they don’t give a fuck about winning this year, it was basically a year to make everybody play out of their comfort zones and to make mistakes and to continue learning from them, and to get the highest pick they could get, and based on history, getting a pick in the Top 5 has always been much better than the 6th Pick, check out ESPN’s Draft Blog from last year, there was a big article written about specific numbered selections and the value of getting a Top 5 pick over the 6th Pick. There are also a few Front Office Moles on that Canis Hoopus site and they claim Kahn and his staff see this Draft as a four player Draft in Wall, Turner, Cousins, and Favors in terms of star potential. There have also been some rumblings on the site that claim that it’s basically Turner or nothing, that we’ll trade out of the spot if we don’t land Turner, most on the Canis Hoopus site are in agreement that if they don’t get Turner the franchise will take much longer than expected and that Rubio will not come over as a consequence. To BTPH, sorry for the acronym bro, you’re absolutely right, if you were an international star, would you go to a team like the Wolves, who at this point look to have a questionable future? Probably not, can’t blame him, that’s why it’s so imperative that Kahn does something this off season to show Rubio they mean business, because if next season looks like this season, they will have no fans at games, believe me, you’d be hard pressed to find an optimistic Wolves fan outside of M Dymes. Believe me, the Wild have much more fans than the Wolves in the Twin Cities, and that’s the f’ing NHL, they play their f’ing games on Versus, who gives a shit about hockey? Look out MN, your Wolves are about to become completely irrelevant unless something dramatic is done this off season to bring in talent. If not, sell or move, Glen Taylor, take your pick, because the $15M you lost last season will seem like a drop in the bucket compared to future years if nothing is done.

“capable of putting together a 30 point game”

The only player to reach 30 points in a game this season for the Wolves was Al Jefferson, the game after his DWI suspension, Flynn also had 29 in a win against Philly. Gomes is garbage, he does nothing but shoot, and he doesn’t even do that consistently, I’m so glad he will be gone, Hollins too, two horrible players. They legitimately have six players on their roster that don’t belong on any NBA roster, that’s how bad they are, they could fill those roster spots with anybody and they’d be better, in order from best to worst for Wolves players that don’t belong in the NBA: Damien Wilkins, Alando Tucker, Ryan Hollins, Pecherov, Jawai, and Pavlovic.

The devil must have possessed you with your triple 6’s. I don’t see how someone could be so stupid. Either you are dumb or retarded. For your sake, I hope you are retarded. You just pulled off a 13 player trade that involved 4 first round picks (one from each team). In this non blockbuster deal, the best players were kevin love and luol deng?!? Who in the world is going to work that hard to pull of this deal? Even after this trade, the wolves suck monkey balls. Corey Brewer must be super man. He’s going to start for the wolves and also get traded to the Pacers. I hope that either you get banned for being this stupid or I get booted from the site. It gets old seeing a few people here and there that know basketball, then a bunch of other people that can’t put anything reasonable together. And to think that I thought the wolves couldn’t do worse than David Kahn. Someone like you makes me think there are much worse basketball minds to destroy a franchise.

    doubledribbler,

Damn bro, bad day, or what? Just throwing random ideas out, the Wolves unfortuntely have a doubtful future and I thought some ideas were needed because I felt most of their players would be moved. Didn’t mean to piss you off, just feeling a little sensitive today? Just take a breath and everything will be all right, just think of these ideas when looking at the trade again, Love>McGee, better short term, more likely to reach his potential, the Bulls want to dump long term contracts, especially for a Top Ten Pick and Nikola Pekovic, yes, they would also be giving up JJ, but as of right now, based on his minutes and Taj Gibson’s, he doesn’t appear to be in their long term future. They do have to take on Jeff Foster and Nick Young, but both only have one year left on their contracts and can be bought out. The Pacers, based on their past Drafts have favored Juniors and Seniors, unfortunately the two players that would fit that mold and be sensible picks for them would be Wesley Johnson and Cole Aldrich, unfortunately they resemble two players they already have in Granger and Hibbert. They get to dump a long term contract in Jones and are able to pick up a starting PG in Sessions while collecting forward and guard depth in Ellington, Brewer, and Gomes while still being able to develop a player with the Utah pick. doubledribbler, what did Ron Bergundy say, maybe you should take the next couple of plays off, just relax man, you ain’t got to hate, nothing serious here, just throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks.
