There was an article in the NY Post about how Randolph and Gallo might both start with Gallo playing the 2 on offense and the 3 on defense. I was just thinking, would that be the tallest starting line up ever… and would it be successful?

    Felton – 6-2
    Gallo – 6-10
    Randolph – 6-10
    Amare – 6-10
    Curry/Mozgov/Turiaf – 6-10 / 6-11

Would having four 6-10 or taller players put at the same time be dominant on both sides of the ball… or a disaster?

With Randolph and and Turiaf you’d have two good defensive players (Randolph is more effective as a weak side shot blocker than an on-ball defender though), but that team might be sorta big. Gallo can play the 2 but I could definitely see that getting slightly overcrowded. Also it’s hard to see how they would function, especially because D’Antoni’s teams excel with smaller lineups with a few players that can distribute. Felton’s the only passer here, it’s hard to see how Gallinari, Randolph and Amare would organize themselves on offense.

That’s funny because I tweeted about that.

Gallo and Stoudemire as the 6-10 offensive guys with Mozgov ( who looked good today), Randolph and Turiaf as the 7-2, 6-10 and 6-10 defensive guys. Scary.

I expect the 8 man rotation to be ( I hope)

    Felton-Chandler-Gallo-Randolph-Stoudemire

Douglas-Walker-Mozgov with Turiaf and Mason getting time here or there.

I think Azibukee deserves rotation minutes too, it seems like Walker is the odd man out unless there are injuries.

I think if you make Chandler and Galinari come of the bench for New York that would give them crazy balance as far as both units go.

    PG-Felton, Douglas, Roger Mason JR
    SG-Azubuike, Chandler, Walker
    SF-Randolph, Galinari, Ewing
    PF-Stoudemire,
    C-Turiaf, Mozgov, Curry

Galinari, Randolph and Turiaf can all play reserve minutes at PF but acquiring another Big would not be a bad idea. Maybe Josh Boone would fit into this system or bring back Barron.

I want the Knicks to make a couple moves. I would love to get rid of some wings and add Rudy Fernandez.

    Trade Chandler for a 2012 1st rounder

Get Rudy for maybe some cash, future 2nd rounder and Mason

    Felton-Fernandez-Gallo- Randolph-Turiaf

They already offered Chandler for Rudy and I also think you forgot about Amare.
