myers3425ParticipantWhere do you guys think these two players will end up. I would love to see the Bulls pick up Williams. I think he would be a better option to back up Deng than Korver espically with Deng being banged up this year. Not sure about Nocioni havent really heard much from him in the last year I wouldnt see him go back and play Euro Ball. What are your thoughts on where these two players will end up.

db24kb24Participantcan still shoot he’d be welcomed as a 2nd unit guy in LAL for the minimum. Twill needs to dominate the Dleague like Gerald Green did then he’ll probably find a 10 day somewhere.

WorldWay TAParticipantIf the Bobcats aren’t the team in the league basement this year, however, who is? Most of last year’s other ho-hum rosters improved this offseason, with Washington adding more veterans, New Jersey adding like a billion dollars’ worth of starting lineup to their payroll, New Orleans adding a Unibrow, and Sacramento bringing in a real point guard and a very talented rookie power forward.

WorldWay TAParticipantBut just because they’re disappointing, it doesn’t mean they’ll be the worst team in the league. Orlando seems like a more likely candidate for that, and since they’ve now officially entered rebuilding mode, they’d probably welcome a few losses.

WorldWay TAParticipantBut will they be worse than the Bobcats? And where will Detroit and Sacramento and Phoenix end up in all this? With real lottery prizes like Nerlens Noel, Cody Zeller, and Shabazz Muhammad likely to declare for next year’s draft, these are questions worth asking.

WorldWay TAParticipantMiller at one time held the record for career three-pointers made with 2,560 (Ray Allen has since broken that record), and is considered one of the best shooting guards in the history of the game. Nelson won 1,335 games as a coach—more than any other coach, ever—and is considered one of the most innovative head coaches ever to grace a sideline.

ZOOKINGSAWAParticipantOne of the team’s strengths this season will be the backcourt with Williams, Jeff Teague and former All-Star Devin Harris expected to get the lion’s share of minutes at guard. From afar, Williams has admired both of his new backcourt mates.

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantYou can’t put too much stock in a preseason game as it is an entirely different environment, but growth from game to game is always a nice development. With a majority of the preseason left to play, it will be on head coach Doc Rivers to make sure he puts Lee in spots where he will be most comfortable.io768i56

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantJason Terry is much more comfortable in the sixth man role, so there is no need to mess with that. Besides him, there are really no other pure guards that you can count on as Dionte Christmas and Jamar Smith are far too unproven to warrant meaningful minutes at this juncture.piop89

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantI always felt Lee would be the type of player that would fit in seamlessly with a new team, especially a team with championship aspirations. He doesn’t always need the ball in his hands and has always been a willing defender, dating back to his days at Western Kentucky.65754

hberf3423Participant“In his first game action, I think he played well. What I think he did was he let the game come to him. That’s what he did well; he didn’t try to force anything. He did his job. He did exactly what the coaches asked him to do.”

hberf3423ParticipantFormer two-time scoring champion Tracy McGrady’s star power may have flickered in the NBA after an assortment of injuries robbed his explosiveness, but the forward still has global appeal evident by his one-year deal to play with the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association.
McGrady’s former teammate with the Atlanta Hawks point guard Jeff Teague spent time in China this past summer and noted how big the NBA game is there and how the fans have very strong love for McGrady.getr23

Betty HowardParticipantWhen listening to Beasley discuss the next situation with Phoenix, it’s apparent that he’s ready to leave his experiences in Minnesota behind and to move on with the Suns. There’s little doubt that Beasley is taking a me-against-the-world mental approach heading into the new season.

hkdojzoaParticipantkThe Houston Rockets tied up one more piece of unfinished business on Saturday night, trading disgruntled Kevin Martin to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a deal that landed James Harden in Houston. The Rockets also send Jeremy Lamb and future draft considerations to Oklahoma City. The Thunder also send Cole Aldrich, Daequan Cook and Lazar Hayward to Houston in the trade.utu675

hkdojzoaParticipantThe onus is now on Harden to prove that he is a max player. He’s a good player, yes, and until he choked in the NBA Finals last season he was quite a force for the Thunder. The reality, however, is that Harden is not currently a max player, and unless he takes several steps forward this season his next contract will not reflect a maximum offer. Houston is the perfect place for him to prove he should get that kind of consideration, as the Rockets are team lacking veteran direction at the moment.7689687

It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m just extremely appreciative.”

ueozaosaoParticipant“It is a process for a rookie,” Casey said. “He is not that far behind because the one thing he can do that makes up for a multitude of sins is he can shoot the ball at the end of the day and that’s part of the process too.

ueozaosaoParticipantIn the NBA, the offseason is very often a time of change. Most teams keep their core together, making tweaks here and there. Some teams make huge, roster-shattering trades. Few teams, however, make the sweeping changes that we’ve seen from the Houston Rockets heading into the 2012-13 NBA season. One of the few returning Rockets is forward Patrick Patterson, and he tells HOOPSWORLD that getting names and faces down has been a challenge from the start of training camp.

yrt5434Participantif he can find his rookie shooting form. Add in the return of three-point shooting wing Alan Anderson and the likelihood of sharpshooter Jose Calderon finding additional minutes in a two point guard lineup, and Ross’ opportunities to use his skill were under threat from day one. This Raptors’ training camp and preseason has been very competitive.
