The Celtics have cried foul over the officiating for game 2.  Danny Ainge was talking with one one of the officials after the game and he admitted that maybe 5 or 6 calls were missed.  The up and under reverse layup attempt by Rondo and getting whacked upside of the head was ridiculous.  Lebron goes to the line 24 times.  Paul Pierce fouls out.  The techs in game one were horrific.  Has the officiating in this series been that bad?  What do you guys think?

it’s looking like the NBA wants the heat in the finals and are willing to do anything to ensure that happens.  as a fan of the league it pains me to see this.  some of the calls themselves are hit or miss, but the only thing consistent has been miami getting fouls in their favor and boston can’t get a call.  the horrible things were the technicals on boston in game 1 when they were either respectfully arguing a blown call or just expressing emotion.  then in game 2, some of pierce’s last fouls were quite questionable, with the score tied rondo gets smacked by wade in the head on the layup and the no-call leads to a 4 on 5 that miami converts to effectively end the game, and finally i don’t see how wade’s nail in the coffin floater warrants a call when the previous play doesn’t; if anything wade kicked garnett first to force the contact that was ultimately called as a foul on boston.  i’m a lakers fan, so i have no dog in this fight, but it just is horrible for the league for this shit to happen.  let the teams play the game and decide who’s better, not david stern…

Not really except for that Rondo foul that cost them the game. Celtics was committing some dumb fouls especially
Mickael Pietrus and they was slow getting back alot of times on defence that caused those fouls.

Every single game this whole playoffs Lebron has been getting calls that their opponents have not. It is literally sickening to watch.

The most anoying calls this post season for me have been when the offensive player gets his defender in the air and then leans into them to get the contact and shooting foul. David stern and the refs talked about how they weren’t going to be handing that call out so easily this season, but from the last couple of games that is an automatic trip to the line…

That’s been the case for like 5 years now though. You have to go in expecting that LeBron and Wade are going to get calls no one else will.

Personally I thought the refs starting out calling the game in favor of the Celtics with 2 or 3 really awful foul calls putting Rondo on the line, but as the game kept going it shifted to favoring the Heat.

Got called for some cheap ones. The Wade crack of Rondo in the head cost them cause it would not have gone into OT. They lost on that call. C’s are looking slow. They took the third quarter off and that cost them. That miss call on Wade cost them that game though.

Are becoming the Lakers of the East when it comes to calls no doubt. But I also think you guys are slightly overblowing this. I mean I had to get up off my seat like three times at some bs calls during the Spurs games. I think they were calling everything on OKC and it was frustrating to watch.

Now lets fast forward today, we know how OKC gets tons of calls in their own arena, what if calls go OKC’s way so much they win the game. Will we over blow that too?

I agree there were several no-calls, and missed calls. But I also think you guys are being over cynical with this "NBA wants heat in finals." There has been terrible officiating all playoffs long, everyone just brings it to the attention when the Heat play, its funny really. Hell just last round people believed the Hawks got homecooked game 6.

That foul on Rondo was a series changer.

The Heat wouldn’t have gotten out and ran and the Celtics could have stopped them easier on the following possession.  Not to mention, Rondo could have made a free-throw or two and lock the game up.

The Celtics could have won that game and gone home with a 1-1 tie on the series.  Instead, they’re down 0-2 while going home tired.

I haven’t liked the officiating this post-season whatsoever, it takes away from the fairness of the game.  Guys like LeBron, Westbrook, Durant, Wade, Harden, and Parker are getting every touch foul.

This is what I was talking about during the Pacers vs Heat series… The refs have been inconsistent the entire playoffs.

It’s not about a conspiracy theory… Just the fact that the refs haven’t been consistent in the way they’re calling the games. It’s been frustrating to watch.
