Oklahoma City needs to acquire a major role payer in this draft behind Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook. Do they trade down and acquire an additional young player (from Washington for JaVale McGee and 5th or Sacramento for Hawes or Thompson and the 4th). Reasonable picks at the third Rubio, Thabeet, James Harden, Jordan Hill. I would not pick Jordan Hill as even though he brings rebounding i don’t think he will be a defensive player and second Jeff Green will go to the bench and he is still to young and gaining experiance for him to do so. Rubio won’t fall to Oklahoma as Memphis would be better to draft him then trade him if he won’t play for there club and second they would have to move Russel off the ball which with his success this year I wouldn’t do anything to him that could effect him negatively . Thabeet would be a huge defensive presence for the Thunder but is he foul prone to the big men in the west? And will he ever contribute on the offensive end? but does he have to? Then James Harden is an all around guard who has passing rebounding and shooting skills. His game is very similar to Brandon Roy in that he is an all around monster. For me I feel like he is the pick for the Thunder at this moment as he plays defense, rebounds the ball, drives to the basket and shoot the ball. He would be the perfect player at the shooting guard position for them. But if Thabeet turns out to be the legit Mutumbo Oklahoma will have missed big time. What do you guys think?

If they can swing that rumored 3rd overall for McGee and 5th overall deal and take Harden or even DeRozan at that pick, then they have their starting lineup set for the next 5 years (assuming Durant doesn’t hear some larger market calling him).

I say they take Thabeet if they cant get a deal done. He’s good cuz he wont take the ball out of RW or KD hands.

The Kings would NEVER trade Hawes or Thompson to the Thunder to move up one pick. That is laughable my friend.

The rumored mcgee trade would be very nice. filling the lineup with a nice young center and a wing (Harden) who can shoot will still be able to keep the ball in the hands of the KiD and Russel…Harden is a good shooter who can get his efficiently and McGee is hyper-athletic who would be a step up from Krstic.
    Go Thunder

And 1 KDrocks, i totally agree…i saw harden as the perfect fit at SG, another versatile, all around playa, another “everybody handle”, a needed scoring SG, u have the hustler, D minded with thabo.
Hill is a bust for sure, thabeet won’t be the next mutombo, no regrets, it’s the new diop-dalembert at best.

To me they want a hard working player who will get them same production night in an night out. He doesn’t need to be stud. To me Darren Collison, Sam Young and maybe even Hangsbrough (I don’t really care for his game even though some people do)
