dwat4444ParticipantI’ve followed both these teams closely this year and would like to see some trade possibilities others have in mind.
From what I’ve seen the thunder are drafting either Hasheem Thabeet or James Harden to fill needs at center and SG. Who will they pick and if they do will they go out and get another player at the other position?
It seems like washington wants out of the draft top 10. They’ve got some young players(J Mcgee and A. Blatche) who they can package with the 5 pick to get a real talent. What are some possibilities for them?0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/09/2009 - 6:02am #159092
gatorheelsParticipantI think the Thunder will draft Harden. Then they may try to sign Gortat.
Wizards want to trade the 5th pick and some bad contracts (Mike James, Etan Thomas) in return they would like to save money & get a veteran who can help them make a deep playoff run. I haven’t heard any real trades being discussed yet though. I imagine a lot of team would like to have that 5th pick.

j1232eParticipantI have heard rumors that the jazz have been talking to wash for that 5th pick on some talk show stations in slc. Also on the jazz website they have a poll saying what will the jaz do this years draft, and trade with washington is one of the three options!

STEVEDOT2ParticipantI would love to see harden on the jazz. Then what the 3 point specialist korver comeing off the bench.I hope almond improves to but what I would really love to see is Rudy Gay on the jazz as a shooting gaurd. He would bring them explosivness, versitility, and a great pass lane defense he can play 3 postions and with kerilinko being a great shootblocker, deron being a good on ball defende, milsap being a great rebounder. the jazz defense would improve. but thats a long shot so i geuss harden would do.

dwat4444ParticipantI was just thinking about what teams that actually need thabeet and Detroit came to mind. Washington would easily trade down to the 15 spot for someone young. Wallace is out of Detroit pretty soon and they’ll need a new center. I really don’t see either of the top 4 wanting him. Memphis has gasol, thunder like Harden, and Sacramento needs a point guard, so he’ll drop to 5. If so I think Detroit should jump on the chance to trade up. What U think?

butidonthavemoneyI’m a Jazz fan so I would love to get the #5.
But I see Mike Miller going to Washington for the #5, Etan Thomas and DeShawn Stevenson.
