rickybobbyParticipantIn the latest mock Tony Wroten is slated to go 35th. I think there is no way he slips out of the first round. He surely going to impress in workouts with his size, athletism, and ability to get to the rack and plus is upside and potential is great.
Best case scenario: Someone takes a chance in mid to late lotto
Most likely: 15-20
Worst Case: low to late 20’s
He reminds me of a slightly shorter Shaun Livingston with more potential. His draft stock to a huge hit because he was forced to play off the ball and be more of a scorer than facilitator and pass first pg like he was in highschool.
Overall he’s too talented to slip to the second round, even if he’s isnt a prototypical pg he has the potential to be a bigger version of Russel Westbrook with better pg skills which is scary.

WolfRobParticipantNot quite as explosive as Russ though…

sheltwon3ParticipantWith Rose out, I would not be surprise if Bulls take a look at him.

apb540ParticipantI really like this kid as a prospect. I watched Washington play quite a lot due to nothing else being on late at night on the east coast plus they have a few prospects, and Wroten was clearly the most talented player on the floor at almost all times. He has the ability to take a game over with his penetration but has a Rondo caliber jumper, However, when he gets to the hole he is able to finish with contact or dish it off for a dunk more often than not.
When you think about a player like Wroten, what team wouldn’t be intrigued by him? Shet, even my Sixers at 15 could take him. Who knows with a 6’5” PG/Combo Guard who is athletic and left-handed. He might end up going 10 or 11 even.

For_Never_EverParticipantThe Celtics will giving him a very hard look.

HayatoKanzaki1ParticipantI can see why he’ll drop. Its more than just his raw talent. I think its his rumored attitude thats making people think he will drop. But during draft interviews if he can prove people wrong, I think he will at least go late first round if anything. This guy has potential, I think he will fit in just fine in the league. Especially if a team be himself and figure it out on the fly. The guy just might be the next Rondo.

CAROLINA BLUE NICKParticipantLike I said on another thread. I wouldn’t be surprised if he reaches top 7. No way he won’t be a lotto pick. And if he isn’t, whoever gets him got a blessing in disguise. People had Tyreke Evans going late first round back in 09 and bruh reached top 5 before the draft got near. I think Wroten will make the same leap. I think his best case scenario is Penny Hardaway/Tyreke Evans and worst case is Rodney Stuckey and Stuckey really isn’t that much of a worst case scenario so you are getting a good player no matter what. The only thing that will stop Wroten from being great is himself but he seems to have a great work ethic and wants to be great. I can see him going to Portland with one of their picks. Lillard is nice but 6th I think is too high for him, even in a weak pg draft class.

A Lil EnglishParticipantThere’s often a guy with obvious talent who everyone expects to go near the lottery to 1st round that slips into the 2nd. Think Josh Selby, Lance Stephenson, Dejuan Blair. This year I don’t think it will be Wroten but it’s not impossible.

JunkYardDogParticipantthere is lots of team in need of prospect able to play pg (even if he’s not a true pg) and potential… wrotten fills both request.
I see him late lotto / mid 20’s

joecheck88ParticipantI have him at 19 to Orlando. Doesn’t seem like Dwight will be there long so take the upside pick. Start rebuilding with him there. It seems inevitable that he will be gone.

rwd5035ParticipantI feel the Suns at 13 are the earliest he could be picked, unless someone trades up of course. I’d be shocked if he fell beyond Atlanta at 23.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipant“He reminds me of a slightly shorter Shaun Livingston with more potential. His draft stock to a huge hit because he was forced to play off the ball and be more of a scorer than facilitator and pass first pg like he was in highschool.”
He played off the ball more because when he had the ball he made bad decisions, turned the ball over, and took bad shots.
“Overall he’s too talented to slip to the second round, even if he’s isnt a prototypical pg he has the potential to be a bigger version of Russel Westbrook with better pg skills which is scary.”
Westbrook did not exclusively run the point on a UCLA team with Darren Collison, but he still didn’t it over nearly as much as Wroten, and actually his assist:turnover rate was good for an underclassman.

Pro 1ParticipantNo way Jose TWJr goes 2nd round.lol
I can see TWJr going as high as 6th to PO, 8th Tor (Raptors need someone who can create their won shot), 10th to NO (AD & TWJr had on court chemistry during Jordan game plus could play in a NO backcourt with smaller SG in EGordon), 11th PO, 13th Phx. but won’t slip past Dallas at #17.
In a Twilight Zone moment I can even see MJ taking TWJr 2nd overall.

llperezWroten is a guy who could go all over the place, but I have a real hard time seeing him slip out of the first. I suppose he could be viewed as more of a lance Stephenson type who fell, but man when this kid wanted to get into the lane, he did. He didn’t always finish or make the best decisions once there, but even playing off him a few feet since no one respected his jumper, he still got by guys at will. I just don’t see any way he falls out of the first rd

kobyzParticipantwill not fall past Denver Nuggets at #20, i am hearing they very high on him and feel it worth a chance!

Tony Wroten Jr Working Out
George Karl knows TWJr is the real deal as he used to coach in Seattle and knew about him via AAU plus Denver’s GM- Masai Ujiri, went to & played basketball at Nathan Hale HS in Seattle.
