– Davis will bring something Toronto never got from Bosh, grit, toughness, blocks, steal, hustle, and defense. His athletisism will be similar as will his size, but his offense will not be as polished as Bosh’s which maybe better in the long run. Davis has All Defensive Team potential and pedigree.

1. Davis will not replace Bosh anytime soon. He is still very raw offensively. That being said I think he can contribute immediately and contend for a spot on the all-rookie first and second teams. He will eventually be a better defender and rebounder than Bosh but for now the loss of Bosh is going to hurt big time.

2. Bargs will not be an all-star. He might average 20 PPG, but with his poor rebounding and defence, not to mention how bad Toronto will probably be he’ll have a hell of a time beating out Dwight, Bogut, Brook Lopez, Bosh, Carlos Boozer and STAT for a spot on the all-star team.

3. Derozan should be a canidate for MIP, with Turk and CB4 gone he could emerge as the #2 option and his athleticism is a must have for Toronto.

4. If the Raps can trade Calderon and get rid of his contract then by all means they should pull the trigger. That being said, other than Charlotte, is there anybody interested in trading FOR the 29 year old Spaniard?

5. Amir Johnson should provide a spark and his length and athleticism will be a nice fit in Toronto. But no, I don’t think he will live up to his contract. Davis will be starting over him by the end of the season and he will be relageted to the bench which is not where somebody making $7 million a year should be.
