But couldnt sign him

I've wanted Brand back in

I've wanted Brand back in Chicago since they let him go. I love the deal. I don't think money was so much the issue with Brand leaving the Bulls. Krause just thought Tyson Chandler and Eddy Curry would dominate the NBA for years and years. He would certainly give the Bulls the inside player they need and you never have to worry about off the court issues with Elton Brand.
