Tyreke Evans needs to play for a new team, similar to James Harden And OJ Mayo.

Because Sacramento does not know what to do with the great talent that Tyreke posesses. I really think that 2 years from now. The best 3 combo guards in the league will be James Harden, OJ Mayo, and Tyreke Evans. Tyreke’s creativity, finishing ability, ball handling ability, and scoring instincs are just off the charts amazing. And I think that tyreke is a consistent jumpshot away from being unguardable

Untapped potential. Could become one of the best all around players in the game.. Key word being could

Evans has been having his game ruined a bit by two coaching changes, and a dysfunctional offense. I wish he could develop a stable jumpshot however. It either goes in or it doesn’t and most of the time it doesnt. Ask me though, and I’d hope the Kings don’t trade him. He’s been very effecient lately and has improved his defense.

Sure, he has the skills to be one of the best 1 on 1 players in the game, but it’s a team game.  Put him on a good team and he’s just a 1 dimensional slasher who actually finishes at a below league average rate.

I don’t know why it is so hard for you to believe in the talent that Tyreke posesses. It really takes a big time fool to not notice or accept how talented Tyreke is. The young man has the potential to be an elite scorer on Allen Iverson’s Level. Or at worst maybe a extremely talented 6th man similar to Manu Ginobili. Siggy stop talking like a fool and just appreciate the great potential that Tyreke posesses. Also Siggy I noticed that you jumped on the marcus smart bandwagon, after initially disagreeing with me on how good Marcus is now and on how great he could potentially become in the future

Tyreke has talent.  I never denied that.  It’s his flaws that make him a not-so-valuable player.  You can say that all he needs is a jump shot or whatever, but he’s been working on that jumpshot for forever, has made zero progress and actually looks like he’s regressing.  On top of not being a good shooter, he’s not a smart player either.  That’s another thing that’s holding him back and I don’t think that’ll ever change.  He developed playing a poor brand of basketball and is spending his pro years unlearning all his bad habits.

And no, I don’t jump on bandwagons.  I observe players and share my observations.

Just needs a change of location. And I would love to see him on the Warriors. I could see a Thompson for tyreke trade, of course we’d probably have to add more. But he clearly has the talent and skills to play the game at a high lvl. I don’t think reke works well with cousins because not only do thy both need the ball, they can’t play off each other due to reke not being able to shoot an cousins needing space to make his moves.

Next year when Brandon Jennings leaves the Bucks, I think that would be a good spot for him, he and Ellis can run everything and with his size he would be a decent fit on D

Or come off the bench on a good team. Plain and simple. He can go to a bad team and put up numbers and lose if he wants. In order to win he needs 38-40 from three or be a microwave off the pine.

How do you think he would look in a Spurs uniform? Pop is a great coach and I am sure he could get a lot out of him with Ginobilli and Duncan getting on in years.

Yeah I think the Bucks would be the ideal landing place for him, he’d fit a lot better alongside Ellis than Jennings and they could share ball-handling/scoring duties between them.

His shot is definitely broke though, he doesn’t have any confidence in it and it shows. Too many fadeaways as a kid have left him falling away on literally every jumper he takes.

Also, I wouldn’t mind seeing him in Charlotte; Henderson hasn’t been able to stay healthy enough to lock down the 2-guard, and Kemba’s ability to play on or off the ball make him a nice fit. Defensively they’d also be very quick. That said, it’s putting a lot of pressure on MKG and Kemba to shoulder the shooting load, although having Mullens there helps matters.

He definitely needs to choose the right place, because Sacramento just isn’t it; they simply fail to develop players there.

He can’t shoot, and he’s never been that athletic. I think he should look to add a like Paul Pierce to his game. I sill think he should stay true to some of his style of play, but its an adapt or die league and he’s in his 4th year, he still hasn’t learned to shoot, and defenses have him pegged. The only way I can see him jump starting his career, is if he spends next summer shooting jumpers.

Reke would put a lot.of pressure on other bench players man. He is not a sharp shooter, but he is not a PG either. He could dominate the rock off the bench. Its either that or improve that J with a hand in his face and he has not really done that.

I agree that Evans has some talent, but he doesn’t play a lick a “D”, has no true outside shot, doesn’t move well without the ball. True he can drive to the basket. He remains me of Kevin Martin, that he really hurts the team’s flow. Both are good ballers, but not really well rounded team players.

I’ll be the first to say his jumpshot is non existent. But don’t talk about the guys defense, its massively improved compared to years past.

He is a hell of a talent. I can see the Spurs making a run for him as a free agent. The Spurs are only getting older and they’ll start looking for fresh playmaking ability. I can see him having a role similar to Parker (when Parker retires) where he get to the lane at will and makes fantastic plays for them. Or they can use him like Manu Ginobli as the playmaker at the 2 spot.
