birdman1113Participanthe has point guard skills and he is 6-6 i think he might have the highest ceiling in the draft?

buntykingsfanParticipanti’m not too sure he has the highest but i think he’ll one of the best from this year’s draft at the end of his career

Cosgrove03ParticipantHes going to be good but he needs a better outside shot.

gatorheelsParticipantDon’t be suprised if Memphis trades with the Kings. Memphis would probably select Tyreke with the 4th pick.

JNixonParticipantThe highest celing in this draft would be Brandon Jennings. But I do think Tyreke Evans will be a scorer as a rookie and develop into a borderline allstar by year 2 if he shoots it better and plays smarter

bonishswhsParticipantHe does have a chance to be an all star in the league. At 6’6 with PG skills and incredibly long arms he could definitely do some damage in the league. He definitely does nedd to improve his outside shot though but he’s great at driving to the lane and drawing contact. I dont know if he has the highest ceiling in the draft (Griffin, and maybe guys like Derozan and Rubio) but he could become an all star in the league.

auberParticipantI’m sick and tired of Jrue Holiday, Austin Daye and Tyreke Evans threads. I see him as a legit NBA 2 and having a higher ceiling than James Harden. He Defenitly could have used another year in college, but we’ll see him on an NBA team this season.

bdoody42ParticipantWhy would Memphis draft Evans?
They have Conley, Gay , and Mayo. I think would be much smarter for them to draft Thabett or move down a few spots and take Hill.
Evans is a SG that has no range, and needs the ball to be a threat. I dont think that would work along side with Gay and Mayo. I know it won’t.
Evans would be better fit for other teams.
Raptors at 9 for example.
Just think Evans to Memphis is horrible idea.0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/02/2009 - 10:14am #155661
gatorheelsParticipantMemphis likes Evans. For one Tyreke can easily play PG. He can’t shoot that good but he is extremely long and athletic and can play defense. No way Memphis takes him at pick 2 but if they trade down to #4 or below they will probably take him.
A lineup of Evans, Mayo, Gay would be impossible to guard.

mmichnowicz1ParticipantAs much fun as that would be to watch. Evans Mayo and gay would just not work, how will everyone get their touches, and be happy. They would be by far the most atheltic team, but no where near the good, they need someonoe who will make good choices, I think evans can make better choices than people think he can, but not good enough for a team built this way.

mmichnowicz1ParticipantI do not believe he is 6-6 i met him last year, and he did not look much taller than me. He looked 6-4 or 6-5 but not 6-6

QHaynes123Evans came in at 6-5 at the combine
I think he would be a OK PG
But a really good SG
Everyone compared this man to T-mac and i havent seen it yet…

UNC4eva8806ParticipantEvans is a 6-5 SG/PG his decision making at the point guard position are very questionable he only averaged 4 ast with 3 1/2 TO per game and he lacks a jump shot (more of a set shot with a slow release) that will keep defenses honest I think unless he developes that shot teams will guard him like Rajon Rondo and take away his slashing ability

Stanford hoopsParticipantif he plays as good as rondo without the jump shot then id take him in a heart beat. as far as him going to memphis..makes no sense and thats probably why they arent working him out or talking about him..him and mayo just wouldnt work..they both need the ball in there hands too much…like francis and stephon

jaycee24Participanti see him being just like rodney stuckey in the NBA- A Big quick and athletic combo guard who doesnt have a great shooting touch but good point guard skills

auberParticipantMayo’s made it perfectly clear he wants to run the show in Memphis this season. If Tyreke falls in the 14-20 range I think it’s worth trading Mike Conley and the 27 to try and get him to a team looking for a point guard. It’s an intriguing combination, but something tells me it just wouldn’t work.
