The jazz have a real decision on their hands now that the season is over. They’ve got a underrated but top 5 center in al Jefferson that i think any team would want to have. A solid PF in Paul millsap who I think would be a better role player off the bench instead of starter. And 2 young big men in Derrick favors and enes kanter who I believe are ready to become stars. I don’t necessarily think they have to move 2 big men but I do believe 1 of these 4 have to go. So who do y’all think goes and why? Should they move big al and try to get picks or perimeter help instead? Or move the young guys or millsap?

IMO both Favors and Kanter are best suited as centers leaving Al Jefferson as odd man out. They should try and re-sign Millsap and have those three rotate out as main guys. Sign another big FA at league minimum or use second round pick to add depth. They should try and sign and trade Jefferson but if not, oh well.

al leaves. Hopefully we can sign and trade him for some wing help, but if not oh well, we have the means to get by without him. They should resign mo so he can help the rookie pg we draft this year. (I’m thinking McCollum) resign millsap, and if we still have enough money use it to resign foye and the rest for more depth

Utah really failed… They didn’t make a move during the season in hopes of getting into the playoffs and it backfired. Now, it’s a possibility they could lose both Millsap and Jefferson for nothing.

Unless Utah lets them walk on purpose so that they don’t have to take bad contracts back, lets the young guys play this year, gets a top ten draft pick in a loaded draft and then with that young talent morphs into a contender.

It’s time to let the young guys loose. Utah probably has the worst coach in the league. Regardless of talent or need for development, if there’s a vet he can play ahead of a young player he’ll do it. If the Jazz don’t fire Corbin, the only hope will be to completely strip the team of vets–let everyone walk and sign a few young players to fill gaps. I’d rather the Jazz be bad for a couple years than suffer through another miserable season like we did this year.

Also, for those saying Al Jefferson is good or underrated… he is not. The man puts up numbers, but his PPP (points per possession) is below average in the NBA. When you consider that he’s also a massive black hole on O and a horrible defender it’s clear he is simply not very good. There is a good reason why he’s only made the playoffs once in seven years (and got swept in his only playoff series).

Both Millsap and Jefferson should have been traded before this year so Favors and Kanter had a year of experience under their belt. Like others said, both Jefferson AND Millsap walk now for nothing. Utah has been slipping up badly as of late.

Let all the free agent walk and draft a pg. starting line up 2013 PG, alec burks, gordon hayward, derrick favors and enes kanter.
As a fan i rather them tank next year then be a 8th seed every year. Hope jazz get a top 2 pick next year.

To me Losing with the young players for 1 year is better then the 8th seed.

It would be PR gold for them to get Jabari Parker.

The Jazz will surely look to get Favours tied up long term this summer and possibly resign Millsap for $8 to $10 million a season and then run a Millsap, Favours and Kanter frontcourt roster.

Al Jefferson has always been a consistent 18 to 20ppg but has hardly ever lead a team into the play offs and whilst I’ve ever heard a bad word about his personality or being a bad influence for all his consistency his stats have never really translated onto wins for any team in his NBA career. That said he is a consistent and skilled big man probably near his peak so some team will offer him $15 million a season I’d guess but it should not be Utah.
