delfamParticipantso they are ranked 19th in the nation and have 30 wins and get a 12 seed. If there ranked 19 don’t they deserve a 6 seed at worst? Underseeding these teams really screws the teams they play.
Same with Richmond, they should be a 10 but since they get a 12 Vandy gets screwed playing a tougher team than they should.

JNixonParticipantYeah I’m scared of this game against Utah State for us. Pullen and Kelly are going to have to set the tone early, and we can’t underestimate them or we will lose.

delfamParticipant^ that’s my poin though, underseeding teams not only is disrespectful to the team, but it also hurts the team there playing as they shouldn’t be playing a team as good as what they are.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantUtah State 12 vs Belmont 13.
Winner goes to the Sassy Sixteen.

ghettosermonParticipantHere’s one thing I don’t get Xavier is a 6 seed and Richmond is a 12 seed, they are from the same conference! and Richmond just won their conference tournament. Xavier is 24-7, Richmond is 27-7. Xavier’s best out of conference win is Georgia. Richmond out of conference beat Purdue, VCU, Seton Hall, Wake, Wright State. So Richmond has 3 more wins than Xavier, is hot having won their conference tournament, and has a more impressive out of conference schedule yet they are separated by 6 seeds? That makes zero sense. I know Xavier has done well in the polls, but c’mon if Xavier is a 6, Richmond is at least an 8 or 9.

boxn1ParticipantI dunno what happen with seeding this year, Utah St. is a top 20 team half the season, yet isn’t at the least a 6th seed??? I thought Georgia, and my Michigan team are overseeded.

konqueredParticipantUtah State is definitely not a top 25 team but they deserved to get better than a 12 seed, at least a 10 seed tbh..
Richmond was screwed as well, does it mean that if they did not beat dayton in the A10 finals that they wldn’t have been in the bracket at all?? A 9 seed at least
Georgia is overseeded at 10 so they’re an easy pick to lose in the 1st round.
Thats why Utah Stae and Richmond are extremely dangerous teams because they are far better than their seed and they’ll be pissed at how underseeded they were – They’ll be coming out firing on cylinders in the 1st round so Its a very real possibility that Vandy and Kansas State will lose.
