I’ve been watching a lot of Indiana hoops this year and have been particularly impressed with Vic Oladipo. The guy can do it all. Rebounds very well for a 2, shoots a great percentage, and an outstanding defender. I see a whole lot of D-Wade in Oladipo’s game. Both were not great shooters in college and outstanding slashing athletes. If Oladipo continues to tighten his handle i think his growth as a player is just getting started. Hard worker, tough tough player.

This is at least the 3rd thread with this same exact topic. He certainly is no D-Wade though..I heard someone compare him to Aaron Afflalo and that is a much more accurate comparison to me.

There is a thread about Oladipos comarison every other day. Wade is really shooting for the stars. I’d say somewhere between Tony Allen and Shannon Brown. If that seems too low then you didn’t watch those guys in college.

Sewok-Afflalo shot twice as many threes, had half the rebounds, and is not quite as athletic as Oladipo. I think Shannon Brown is MUCH closer in comparison. Afflalo was much more of a shooter where Vic gets his buckets slashing and even on clean-up buckets. I just see the determination that Oladipo has and believe he will become a lot better scorer than he is now while continuing to maintain the other aspects of his game.

God every week there’s a thread about this guy; I can tell you right now, he’s not DWade, Dwyane averaged 22 5 and 5, in his first full season as his teams only legitimate option on offense

I think he’s going to sneak into the lottery after the combine

This video says alot about him:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgWJGiJJAwk

He ranks 2nd in overall FG% among the top 100 NBA prospects

He ranks 1st in 2pt FG% among the top 100 NBA prospects

And he finishes 70% of his drives to the rim in half court situations……

    Amazing numbers.

Hairline- Exactly, Dipo averages 14 and 6 and is on a team with Zeller, Watford, Sheehey, Ferrell and a bunch of other capable scorers. Also only shoots 8 times a game. On a team like wades marquette team it is very likely oladipo averages 20 5 and 3. May not be quite the player D-Wade has been but very similar games.

DWade had handles, playmaking, and the passing ability of a point guard, which is one of the few holes in Oladipos game

Yeah but I like this guy, his intensity and ability to lock up 3 positions will make him an immediate impact player at the next level

I think comes from the way he attacks off the pick. He has that same slippery -ness to his slash game. Hes gotta be late lottery the commentators are picking up on this. bilas had a article the other week touting him. you hear the commentators during games lush over him. The good thing is not many expected so much from him the bad thing is teams are going to be giving him more attention

    – pick 9-13 seems safe choice – athletic 2 way guard with room to improve
