2014 draft will be so deep that if anyone has a chance to get some garunteed money in the 2013 draft they better go get it now because it wont be there is 2014. Randle,Wiggins,Parker,Gordon,Hill,Walker,Both Harrisons,Young,Vonleh, Iverson are just a few of the one and dones from 2013 hs class.Never mind the rest who have the one and done potential. So anyone in college now who looks like a first rounder better go in 2013 draft.

I love Oladipo as an athletic energizer….he plays hard and would be a tough defender for an NBA team. Plays like Tony Allen, he really might be best served to declare after this year

You know alot of people are saying next year is the year for so many prospects and that a player like Glenn Robinson from Michigan should come out to but I disagree. I feel players like Robinson and Oladipo should stay that extra year. So many freshman come and and just dont meet the expectations Robinson could be a star on the team next year and really stand out to scouts like a Kemba Walker did. Oladipo is a great player but he might as well stay become a better shooter and around player at best he’d go late first round right now and i dont see that getting to much better. I can see him staying another year being an All Big Ten player and getting drafted late first early second to a team that just needs a spark plug off the bench for some defense and athleticism. He cant shoot well enough right now to play in the NBA and if he stays and Zeller leaves its his team to lead next year.

he could devolp to be an ok role player in the NBA, remind me Willie Green(pre injury), but maybe if he keep improving at best would be Gerald Henderson type player

When ever your stock is high, jump at the opportunity to move your family out of the hood for good. You stay another year and you just don’t know what may happen. Lets look at the Taquan Dean situation for example.

I agree. He looks like the 2nd best player on the best team in the country. If he continues to be that, he should declare. I have him early 2nd, but I wouldn’t rule out late first round for him. He’s athletic with long arms, capable of defending either wing position. He’s not the most skilled guy offensively, but he’s improved and he’s active on offense with his cuts, working the baseline, running the floor and crashing the glass. Athletic defenders who play with good effort like him usually catch on in the NBA.

Taquan Dean…that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while. He used to be one of my favorite players, but I was really young so it was only because I used him in NCAA lol. What exactly was his situation? He stayed a year longer than he should’ve and his stock plummeted?

If he gets a first round promise – he should pack his bags and head to the NBA.

But, No matter what he should test the waters and get insight into where his draft position may be, and what NBA executives and coaches have to say about his game.

yessir Taquan Dean had been basically marked as a top 20 pick after his junior year but he came back for his senior year and never got picked following his senior year.I am very young too, (20 year old). I just followed hoops since i could remember.lol. Dean is making nice money overseas but still that is not the NBA. Oladipo should put his name in the draft. He locks down anyone from 5’11 on up to 6’7.Little guys to long wings he can stay in front of.That defense can get you a contract. Also his team will win a lot this year which also intrigues league GM’s

ive always liked him since last season

Tony Allen came to mind for me as well…but with a higher upside offensively. Vic has worked very hard on his jumpshot. His release has gotten softer this year and in time I think he can be a solid shooter at the next level. He’s shown some ability to create and seems to have really improved this year with staying under control and not just running into traffic.

He is tenacious on defense. When he is really dialed in guys struggle just to catch the ball against him. In the upset of OSU last year, he flustered Aaron Craft like i’ve never seen. Craft had trouble just crossing halfcourt.

I disagree with Rotela about strength being a point of emphasis. He has a pro body and is very strong. He’s now benching over 300 pounds according to Tom Crean.

I don’t think he’ll fail at the next level because of that defensive versatility, along with the incredible work ethic he’s known to have. When it comes time for his workouts, I think he could be looked at similar to Iman Shumpert where shooting was considered a weakness of his, but when you watched up close he had very good form that is bound to keep improving.

He’s a high character kid..the type that may never be a lock for the first round, but one a team could fall in love with who’s a surprise pick that ends up being a steal

Yeah Oladipo is pretty strong. He has a very toned and lean build, but he withstands contact VERY well. Hes got the same kinda strength as Ronnie Brewer and Brewer KILLED the combine bench press in 05

I havve hime as like the last pick in the 1st round but he could easily get into the teens. Hes the second best player on the best team in the nation a bit of an unknown coming into the season but if they have even a decent run in the tournament hes really gonna rise. His jumper looks a lot better this year and his athletism is still excellent. How many 2guards are there better than himin college right now? there might be better shooters but overall offense defense hes right up there. I slyly rate him more than Zeller fif I honest but thats just my opinion

I want him to come out this year so my man Troy Williams can get somemore tick

    http://nbaprospects.blogspot.com/2012/11/victor-oladipo-gets-no-respect.html

He’s finally getting his due. He’s been playing at a high level since last January until he suffered a minor injury in the Michigan State game. He should be a late first rounder.
