European BasketballerParticipantHere is an update on Greek player Vlantimir Giankovits (who should have been drafted, but was not due to NBA racism):
He is currently the best small forward in the Greek League. He is playing extremely well:
He is much better than most small forwards that are currently in the NBA. He plays on Panionios, the same team that Nikos Pappas plays on.
He is 23 years old, 6-8 220 pounds.

phila9012ParticipantYou are a piece of poop version of skip bayless, not a poor mans but literally a piece of poop. You never post anything that has any relevance to the NBA or the NBA draft. No one cares about these players. Dequan Jones who couldn’t start at the university of Miami made it to the NBA before any of the greek players you keep telling us are good enough to be in the NBA

slash787ParticipantAt euro basket what you just said is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point in your incoherent rambling response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all now dumber for having had listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul!!

the I in winParticipantAll of his drives were straight line drives, no crossovers or real basketball moves that would get him open in the nba. Below average athleticism at the position where athleticism may matter the most. If he plays on the same team on Pappas and Pappas is able to shut down point guards then the level of competition is very low. I would think your average american middle school child would give the greek league allstars the dick.

sixersman111ParticipantSo basically your saying this team would destroy the bobcats since they got they duel threat of Giankovits and Pappas. Shit they might as well make them nba expansion team

JunkYardDogParticipantI think EB has buy the rights on the racist word. Copyright… everytime we said it he won money…
btw Vlantimir Giankovits is a GREAT player. Too bad he’s greek… Maybe if he changes his nationality he could become a nice nba player.

pohani komaracParticipantHe actually changed his nationality, and destroyed his chances for NBA. His real name is Vladimir Janković. I guess he is hiting his head against wall when he found out Stern does not alow Greeks to play in NBA.

European BasketballerParticipantI hope you realize what a sick joke that is. Do not say that again please.

MakarosParticipantI don’t believe he knows what happened with Jankovic senior, so don’t blame him for it.
That was one of the saddest moments in Greek Sports.
For those who don’t know, Jankovic got furious after a missed shot and a foul that wasn’t called and he hit his head to the base of the basket. He broke his neck, ended up on a wheelchair and died a few years ago.

the I in winParticipantthat makes the “hitting his head on the wall” even better. I don’t feel sorry for some dumb ass who bashes his head into anything and hurts himself.

MakarosParticipantA) Perperoglou and Papanikolaou would laugh their hearts out if they heard that Vlad is better than them..
B) No comment about him being better than most NBA small forwards.. I can name you HS senior small forwards that are better than him..

European BasketballerParticipantYou are not Greek.

European BasketballerParticipantGiankovits is better than Perperoglou and Papanikoloau. I’m not sure if he is really better than Pelekanos, but he is close to it.
Also, Pohani Komarac, Giankovits did not change his name or his nationality from Jankovic and Serbia. It was actually his father that did that, when he was a little kid.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/01/2013 - 2:49am #743665
pohani komaracParticipantAnd look what he did to his son? If he was Serbian named Jankovic Aran Smith would have him 1st in his mock draft and for sure he would go top 3 in next year draft. But now since he is Greek as Stern just hates Greeks while Simth is xenophobic about Greeks he won’t get drafted

avavalisParticipantPLEASE BAN EUROPEAN BASKET (Baller) !!! He makes us Greeks look stupid!!
0- Posted on: Fri, 02/01/2013 - 3:55am #743667
MakarosParticipantI couldn’t agree more.
On another note, what are the rules concerning posts in other languages?
I’d love to give him a proper response in Greek..
Jankovic better than Perperoglou and Papanikolaou…..For the love of all that is good, that’s beyond retarded.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantIt must be racism that this new Big Three of basketball that is being assembled by Panionos (Jankovic, Vasileos Kavvadas, and Nikos Pappas) went 2-4 in the Eurocup with their two wins being by a combined 2 points and their four losses by 54. Clearly, there can be no other explanation.
