I have never seen such blind hate for a draft pick like Waiters received from Cavs fans. Like I said at the time, you idiots didn't deserve him. Hop on the bandwagon and start eating crow now because not one person on this whole site thought it was even a decent pick and about 600 of my negative points are for talking about how good he is. GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES AND KISS THE RING. I'm BACCKKKKK.****
For the record, I've never said a bad thing about Waiters. I was convinced by a Bleacher Report article of all places (not you) the Cavs knew what they were getting. So I thought I'd wait and see.
I'm still waiting, because it hasn't even been one year yet.
About 600 of the negatives are probably because of the attitude.
Go back and read the threads surrounding him being drafted on this site because the level of blind uninformed hate of him was the most I've ever seen and everyone on here knows what I'm talking about. That article came out after the draft and it was on espn.com. So its a bad attitude when everyone for months tells u how wrong u r and u point out the fact that you were oh so right? He could be the next Eddy Curry. Very talented but with some weight and motivation problems. I guess that's why some people say there are some "haters" (just remember his summerleague performance).
But if he stays motivated (and healthy) there is no dubt that he is a good player.
Remember your series of Fab Melo posts? Not bringing them up anymore? As good a defender as Anthony Davis?
And all 5 of those threads are probably by people who cried like ignorant babies that he shouldn't even go top 10. Coming at his character coming at his ability coming at his shooting his conditioning his defense. I want to start hearing apologies before any of you praise my boy.
site, I lobbied before and after the draft for this guy to somehow make it to Cleveland. I repeatedly defended him on almost every occassion. That includes saying he was better than Barnes, Rivers and the whole bunch much before the draft. I kept calling for you Syracuse Nation guys to step up for him.
And I have a standing bet of a six pack against Joe Wolf that he wins ROY.
But lets not act like people are blind not to see his upside. He can become passive at driving to the hole (which I think his high handle and body control), which I think he could do at will. His effort and facial expressions are lackadaisical. He is somewhat pompous and he came off the bench in college and only average 12 points a game. Guys with great vision can see that and reasonably question him.
That being said, I hate to criticize him, but that doesnt mean I can't.
Go back and look at the Official Waiters Hater Fan Club thread, I did it as a opposite joke. I know Cavsfan 420 is a supporters and I'm DeezNutz, I switch to The Artist Formerly Known as DeezNutz. Dude Cleveland respects Philly guys and most feel like Waiters is one of us. If anybody from Cleveland is hating on him, its not there fault. We are born with hater in our veins, sometimes it gets misplaced.
