it would be a Center, they

it would be a Center, they have been playing garnett at the 5, well he is a 7 footer, but he is nearing the end of an ever great career and the celtics would like to move on, and by the way, this would be the real question, what if the celtics is not playing on a high level with the departure of Garnett and pierce, would Rondo still want to play as a Celtics?

or is avery bradley a contingency plan if rondo ask for a trade?

Well the Celtics spent last

Well the Celtics spent last years first rounder on a center, I don't know if they want to try the same thing this year. I would still say shooting guard is their need. But there do seem to be plenty of centers in this class.

2 Guard

Can they get Ray Allen2.0 in the end of the first round? I think shooting guard should be a priority for Boston but they also need bigs to pair with and/or replace KG, and more athletic wings to combat LeBron.

Already have the PG position locked up with the second best PG in the league behind Derrick Rose. If Avery Bradley can ever get on the court they have a great backup, who can also play with Rondo where both can play with ball and off. They both have solid size and probably would make up the best defensive backcourt duo, possibly only to be bettered by a duo who has more size.

KG will be around for several more years but you still need another big man to go alongside him, or start grooming a replacement. Jared Sullinger is a solid rotational guy but I think you want someone with more size and athleticism getting a majority of the minutes. Does anyone know what Boston thinks of Fab Melo so far?

Say the same thing about Pierce as I did with KG regarding longevity and grooming a replacement, and Jeff Green is most likely that replacement but he has to concern you just a little. Never hurts to add athletic wings no matter what, especially when facing #6, and #3 too I guess, in the ECF every year.

Some ideas-

Shooting Guard: CJ Wilcox Ray Allen2.0? , My dude Jamaal Franklin- KG would love the way this guy battles on the court, Sean Kilpatrick, My all time favorite player's son Tim Hardaway Jr., Victor Oladipo- add to a strength in perimeter defense?

Small Forwards: Andre Roberson- defensive wing and combo forward, Rodney Williams-athlete!, Doug McDermott Bird? Just Kidding. No, don't do this Boston.

Bigs- Mock currently has Isiah Austin and Rudy Gobert @ 19, 20, where Boston is slated. I don't think either guy will be around that late but Jeff Withey? Trevor Mbakwe?

I would go with Jamaal Franklin, Andre Roberson, or CJ Wilcox. Then again, if I were GM I would also thank Pierce and KG for their time, loyal service, maximum effort, and a Championship, but tell them we are getting younger and rebuilding, (around Rondo)- just don't tell them that part.

I hate to say it because I'm

I hate to say it because I'm a Boston guy, but I think it's best to trade Rondo this year or after the season is done for draft assets. The Celtics are a middle of the road team chances of getting another ring is gone. Any team that doesn't have Superstar pg would be interested in Rondo with everything he brings to the table. Rondo is a pg that thrives on the fast break, the celtics aren't so much a fast paced team anymore with KG and Piece being at the tail end of they're careers.

They played it safe drafting Jared Sullinger thinking they could make another run, however he is just a rotation guy and isn't going to set the NBA on fire. Fab Melo is a complete project, so I don't have anything to say about him until he gets some playing time. The Celtics need to make a move before they get too deep in limbo of being a team without any future assets or title contention.

Fans in Boston would Love

Fans in Boston would Love it,if the Celtics could some how land Kevin Love...He would really help them in the rebounding department, where i think they rank near the bottom.....

But who do the they have that the TWolves might take? Would they be willing to take a package of Green or Bass or Sullinger,Bradley & draft picks?

This probably sounds dumb but

This probably sounds dumb but as a timberwolves fan I would be happy
Sullinger, bradley, next years first round draft pick, and this years first round pick. Then Minnesota could get paul milsap in free agency if they have the cap space(If they got milsap in free agency this trade would make sense for both teams. I would love it if they did that. I like kevin love, but he is always saying how much the team sucks, when rubio makes the team go.
