Greg Monroe: I think it's the second coming of Pau Gasol, but could also be the second coming of Lamar Odom, if the Pistons get a positive record, he must be Allstar, at its best moment, he must be a 23/12/4.
DeMarcus Cousins: If his behavior improves, and focuses its head, has the potential to be the best center in the league, this probably never happen, but even with his head badly furnished, he remains a top 5 center. At its best moment, he must be a 25-27/14/3.
Andrew Bynum: I really think that Andrew Bynum, if you respect the injury, will be the best center for next season, As happens with Cousins, Bynum has a bad head, and I think only a great coach like Popovich, could make mature. I hope next year does not change team, with players now are in Philly, in 2 years could be fighting for the title. At its best moment, he must be a 24/14/2,5.
Paul George: his time has not come yet, but when the Pacers trade to Danny Granger, Paul George could exploit and becoming a fantastic player,Defending hoy es su mejor arma, y en 2-3 años a lo sumo debe ser AllStar. At its best moment, he must be a 21/8/4.
Derrick Favors: It has been rumored that the next season could be a starter, and this would be a big step forward in his career, has everything it takes to be a star, just needs more minutes. the Jazz will continue growing as a team, and there will come a time when Derrick Favors will be made a hole in the West team. At its best moment, he must be a 18-21/13/2.
James Harden: He is a killer, he's is a top 5 shooting guard, and in 2-3 years will be the best shooting guard in the league. Next year should be AllStar. Within a year, will have to make the decision more difficult it will have on his career, follow in the Thunder, and become another Manu Ginobili, but possibly win titles, or go to another team and become a top player 5-8 in NBA. At its best moment, he must be a 19/5/4,5 (in Thunder), or 26-28/6/6 (in another team, Phoenix?).
im sorry to say but you have some ridiculous expectations for players
28 6 6 for harden in another team? those are almost lebron numbers. that would make him a top 3 player in the L
yes, possibly, Harden put those numbers for 3-4 seasons, in its fullness as a player on another computer in which he was the star.
These are crazy expectations
I think alot of people think Harden can get those type of numbers, while he's very good, I don't think he could ever average 28,6,6 people seem to forget OKC is a very good team Harden is on the scouting report but he isn't the one guy the HAVE to stop.
It's going to be alot different when/if he goes to another team and he is the focal point of the opposing teams defense, Harden's good but he isn't going to average 28,6,6 in the NBA. 22,5,5 might be more realistic.
Those are rediculous expectations. If Bynum puts up 24/14/2.5 I will be estatic. If D-Cuz puts up 25/14/3 I will &$#%#&@! myself.
Actually, those numbers for Cousins are not rediculous at all if you look at that as his ceiling. Usually a good player is at his best at around 26-28 years old, which is still around 4-6 years away, with a player who in his 2nd year put up 18-11-2. Keep in mind that he is talking about this being the best these already good players could become.
Cousins can be a fantastic 2 way center in a couple years but he is his own worst enemy, we already know he has a very bad attitude and temper and he also doesn't have good shot selection as he didn't have a good fg% for a center again this year
Why would you have Cousins blocking more shots than Favors, all the stats are ridiculous.
Cousins has ridiculous ceiling i have no problems seeing him scoring 25 while leading the league in rebounds if everything goes well for him,,his passing is underrated too, very few comes and avg 2.5assists his rookie year, and his defense could be better too, he is already the best center in steal together with Dwight..i love his talent
idk about Monroe's 23/12 and offcourse Harden's 28/6/6 but they will reach allstar game at least once for sure..
the other two who might not be the best on this list realistically but talking about ceiling Paul George and Derrick Favors has a chance to be something special..
for example MKG is his own man and George is a young player who actually more remainds me of young Scottie..
and Favors if it's true that his body can develop at least close in a way Howard's did..he said this summer his vertical is 39'' now and it is known he is 250plus
Those are some pretty big numbers. I don't think folks are just going to start averaging in the high 20s in points per game. Cousins is not going to average 25 points per game and certainly not 27. He actually isn't that good a scorer because he doesn't have the hops to consistantly get off a clean shot. Now he might lead the league in rebounding if either Love or Howard get hurt or play less minutes for some reason or another. But a team would have to be kind of crazy (or the Lakers) to feed an inefficient scorer that many shots per game to get him into the high 20s.
Favors is probably a quality starting PF right now. But he doesn't look like he will be a 20 point scorer. That is really hard to do. Favors isn't a guy you are going to run your offense through (at least not if you want to make the playoffs) and he doesn't go to the line much. The rebound average of 13 might be doable if they guy played large minutes and got a little better.
Harden is a great SG. Already top five in the league. But it is because of his diversity and his efficiency at the game that makes him so great. He isn't the type to just feed offense through him to get him to 28 points per game. That would be silly and frankly it would never happen if the entire defense got focused on him.
Paul George does seem to have monster upside, but I also think he will shift to SG more and more and there is no way he gets 8 rebounds a game if he plays that position fulltime.
