Which is the real brandon jennings? - Europe or High School
I think they are the same Jennings. Just in different country and a year older.
Jennings will be the same player and will benefit more from his year living over here in Italy. He's playing on one of the biggest budget teams in Europe and they don't expect their stars to avg 20pts per game because they have 10 players they pay incredibly well, their focus is the team game. All the crossovers and tricks aren't rewarded much over here because refs are biased and the game is physical to the point where you don't have time or space to even get all that off. He will bring all that athleticism and craft back to the states with a more mature mind that has been forced to expand due to playing in a completely complex system of basketball. When he get backs to U.S. he'll have an easier time meshing with older players and incorporating his natural skills in a more open game. The humbling he's had this year will prove to be more valuable than going to college for a year with everybody kissing his butt, shooting all the balls and yelling at the guys who can't catch.
the year abroad seemed to mature him quite a bit, i think he knows what it takes more now to make it in the league, and i hear he's a hard worker. i hope it all pays off for him
Humbling doesn't take away from creativity or skill, talent is gonna rise and show itself.....how can he not embrace being humbled after going completely against the grain and making it mentally? I'm rooting for the kid, and I love the handle, dunks and evolving of the game. Confidence and cockiness is not the reason he'll be drafted high lottery, nor the reason he'll hold his own against Chris Paul, Deron Williams
I disagree
There hundreds of players who do pretty much the same thing, but the good and great ones have the confidence and even cockiness that seperates them.
You don't need it, but if you have it already, that IS part of your game. Its like taking tha attitude out of Chris Paul or the disgruntled nature of say Rasheed Wallace.
Just think of Jason Williams(the white one) after he 'matured'...he became average
Maybe I'm not clear..... Jennings on court swag def separates him from other Pg's in a way that makes fans appreciate the game and puts him in a whole other spotlight. I would never want or expect him to change who he is......that's what separates him from being the next Earl Watson, or Chris Duhon (flat out bland). Jason Williams never matured....He got Paid, he got hurt, then he didn't give a damn. I'm sure he's still cocky wherever he is. There are so many "Jennings haters" talking negatively about this and that and I want everyone to understand this whole process will make him a better pro. He will be judged by how he performs and loved by how he entertains..... Everybody loves the "Star" who entertains and is identifiable. Going the road less traveled (excuse me scratch that) "never traveled".... makes him seem less pampered, less spoiled and more human than other star athletes. That packaged with his God given ability will win the masses. I'm rooting for him and other athletes who may not get what they want immediately, but get it the same in due time.
i play over in finland at the moment and have never seen jennings in a european game but i can attest to the fact the game is alot different from what i have heard from my boys over in maccabi is that the teams wants him to play a more team orintated game which is pretty much what euro ball is about..plus the fact that they play zone most games which hurts him because hes not that great of a shooter..but ill tell you this..i bet it helps his game learning over there

Which one? he seems like a totally different player in Italy. He rarely penetrates, he shoots awfully, he makes silly mistakes, he doesn't dunk. So, is he going to be more like High School Jennings or Euro Jennings in the NBA?
