Who is the #1 pick
Way to early to say, to me it's between Shabazz and Zeller but so many things can happen between now and then and in this draft it'll most likely come down to team need... But welcome to the boards @Arrow721
He prob won't end up # 1 but to me Ben McLemore is the best draft prospect.
Mike Glennon will be the first QB taken.
I think ultimately Shabazz goes #1, with Noel get a hard look based on potential.
Right now it is between 3 players,Zeller/Noel/Shabazz,Noel is Chad ford no 1,Zeller is this site no 1 ,and Shabazz is "other site"no 1
I think Shabazz is the best prospect and probably he will end up no 1 pick ,thing is he is competing with big men and history won't be on his side,If I remember correctly Magic/Iverson/Rose/Wall/Irving are the only guards to ever be picked 1st overall, all were PGs(might consider Iverson combo guard) while Shabazz is true SG ,and we all know how easily GMs fall in love with big men in drafts
Zeller is good but I think he will slip few spots tbh,Bennett is good but his size will prevent him from being the top pick,
Even though he probably isn't the most deserving, it'll probably end up being Nerlens Noel. Although if I were making the pick, it would be Shabazz. Either way, I think it's so close at top that it'll depend on team need, since there is no clear cut top prospect.
ive seen kentcky a few times this year inclding the game last week vs louisville, i just can not see noel going #1. He has the athleticism to gaurd pfs but nowhere near the strength to gaurd centers. His offense is far from being anything close to a go to guy. He does pass well. But does that make hima franchise piece? I would go shabazz and zeller over him.
I'd take Shabazz, the surest bet with franchise player upside.
I don't see why Bobcats wouldn't take Bazz. Henderson can't stay healthy and he might not be around next year, and with MKG manning the SF, Muhammad provides the outside shooting they desperately need and will ease the scoring burden on Kemba.
I'd love to see Muhammad play for Charlotte, and as far as the Wizards are concerned, SF is their biggest positional need; they have Seraphin as a young big who is playing well, they are still developing Vesely, Nene has some life in him and they have no SF.
Muhammad is my #1, I just hope he ends up somewhere that needs him to be great. He's a guy who could fade into obscurity if he isn't given the opportunity to use his skills as a scorer with his first team. Derrick Williams has languished as a role-player, so has Michael Beasley; draft history is filled with alpha scorers taken in the top 5 not being allowed to score at will and struggling to adapt. The same thing could happen to Muhammad if he goes to a team with too many young prospects and scorers, I just really hope it doesn't.
the year jordan was drafted he went 3rd. the two guys that went ahead of him, hakeem olajuwon, nba hall of fame, and sam bowie, nba hall of lame. the point to this is that this has been happening with great guard and wing prospects for years, bigs going ahead of guards and wings that were more talented. it made a little sence in the 80's and 90's, the last time the nba had truly elite bigs, but now, with some of these big guys in the last 10-12 years its been just insane. teams either take a big number 1 on potential alone, or defensive ability and potential. they never look at the offensive side of the coin. there are so many bigs in the league today that really dont have great post games. shabazz should easily be the number one pick on talent, hustle, work ethic, and desire to be great, weather he will or not is debatable.
NBA - Shabazz
NFL - Geno Smith
Shabazz has the best chance to become an all star/franchise player. I see very little star power in this draft besides him. Zeller's ceiling is limited, Noel could be a huge bust.
If you look at the last 5 drafts, 3 guards have gone first, so the idea that teams will draft big has changed. It was 3 out of 4 from 2008 to 2011 and if Rubio had been fully committed to come to the NBA from day 1 then he could have gone close to first also .
Zeller looks a safe pick, but I still like Bazz's upside,McLemore I have not seen enough of yet to make a proper decision on so I'll have an open mind on him and Noel needs to prove he is a two way player to be considered a potential top pick IMO.
All 3 guards were PGs tho...

Lots of choices here
