Who would the Wiz take if they get #2 and griffin goes #1?

Rubio would be wise because they could always trade him and so many team want him

I think they should trade Rubio. They have aging guys 3 all stars they could make a big turn around right away if they trade him and get back talent, they only have a few years left with their core guys.

As a Wiz fan, I have to say that the Wizards haven't had a legitimiate defensive presence in the post in a LONG time. Thabeet has the potential to be a top 5 shotblocker in his rookie year. The Wizards have enough scorers, they just need them all to be healthy. I would say draft Thabeet and trade either Haywood or McGee to a team for whatever you can get (maybe more draft picks).

The Wiz may fair better if they got a lower pick like 4 or 5 cause then they'll be more willing to trade it and try to get under the salary cap.

I would be interested in watching Rubio running the Flip Saunders system and Arenas let loose to be a gunner. They may be able to get something for it. One possibility I hear is trading it to golden state to swap picks and a player for jamal crawford. With so many options I would like to seem them trade it for a veteran and a lower round pick. Rookies are always prone to rookie mistakes and the Wiz are one solid player away from championship potential next year if they can get over Lebron.

I think the NBA will fix it so the Knicks will get Rubio for that big international market.

A lot of teams want Rubio, so it would make sense for Washington to take him and then trade him.

If your not sold on Rubio at two you should trade down no matter what. Alot of teams want him! Trade 2 and get a player and a good first round pick.

1. it will be a terrible mistake for the wiz, or ANY team to pass on rubio. if the wiz pass on him at 2 or trade him, i cancel my tickets.

2. the wiz are a MILLION MILES from being a contender. rubio would be a good building block for the future.

3. griffin has MAYBE the potential to be a boozer level player. rubio will be at chris paul level in 2 years.

4. the wiz are screwed for years because of the gil and tawn jamison contracts.

They have Arenas, Butler, and Jamison if they got Blake Griffin they could have a 30 game turn around next year. If they get Rubio they trade for a guy like Bosh( I dont know if money will line up) get him for a year and make one run with:
PG-Arenas
SG-Young
SF-Butler
PF-Jamison
C-Bosh
They have a shot at going far in the East. If they go Rubio and keep him they should look to trade Arenas and Jamison to unload. They need to go all or nothing at all. No point in going mediocre. They get Rubio trade Arenas, Jamison get picks next year. Take a couple years they could be very good look at Portland they have been bad for a while. Now they have Roy, Aldridge, Oden, and guys like Rudy, Batum, Bayless.

Trade the pick. If Arenas was healthy...Washington would have been like a 5 or 6th seed

Funny thing is, Rubio MAY have more upside, but if you are the Wiz and you have invested in the big 3, Thabeet is a perfect fit. He wont have to score at all and it would allow them to start Jamison's undersized a## at PF w/ less worry. They would immediately jump ahead of Atl, Mia, maybe even Orlando. IF Arenas is healthy.

Drafting Rubio wouldnt make them that much better than they were pre-injuries, Thabeet would.

why would the Wiz want or need thabeet? haywood will be back and they already have a project in mcgee. he is the last thing this team needs.
