Your an NBA GM and you have the first overall pick in next years draft. John Wall, Xavier Henry, Ricky Rubio (assuming he goes next year), Derrick Favors and greg Monroe (also assuming he stays, with more experience under his belt) are all their for you to take. No specific needs for the team, your equal everywhere, just not in a good way. Who do you pick?

Personally I would too. So much upside.

As history will show, the two hardest positions to draft are PG and C, so if you have a chance to grab a franchise PG or C, you have to pull the trigger. Favors and Monroe will be tempting to pass up (and Monroe has already said he’ll stay, so he should be top 5 next year), but they aren’t necessarily players you could potentially build a team around.

I see Wall as a real center-piece for an NBA team, but i want to see what kind of progress he makes in his game until the 2010 draft day first

Something tells me in the long run Derrick Favors will be the best of the 2010 Class. Whats not to love about a more ample bodied Josh Smith. To me I’m 100% sold on Derrick Favors being the Next Big thing in the pros. My number 2 is Josh Wall, simply because I want to see what college does to him and how he will progress from point a-b-c. My Number 3 is Rubio, Who i would take number one overall in 09 if he were to come out (I will not be sold on Blake Griffen as a Franchise Power Forward.) I love rubios game from start to finish. Dude just brings something else to the table. Fourth for me is Monroe, who Is a lock for top 10 and possibly a top 5 pick next season. Something about me tells me that he’s going to stay another year on top, but who knows. He looks like one of the best Big Men Prospects I’ve seen in the last 5 years. Lastly to me is Xavier Henry. I’m just not sold on the dude and I probably never will be.

Right now Rubio. Ive seen him play and he can be simply jaw dropping. Wall, as ive heard is great but i just cant put a highschooler number 1 right now.
