Baron Davis, Kaman, Camby, Thorton, , Randolf, and Eric Gordon. How do they manage to be such a terrible team?
I wacth a good bit of clipper games becuz al thornton is my cousin and its easy to see why they are so sorry. It all starts with coaching. Mike dunleavy is probably one of the worst coaches ive seen. He doesnt seem to motivate guys and the plays the clippers run are so predicable and terrible. everything they run is isolation. Ive never see a player come off a screen in their offense. Not only is dunleavy coach he also GM. another problem. the clippers dont play any defense watsoever. they seem to just be out there for offense and thats it. There are times when the clips pla well but its usually not 4 a whole game. There are bright spots though. Eric Gordon and Al thornton seem to be pieces for the future. Baron Davis seems best fit to play in a uptempo offense(prob wishing he never left the warriors). Dunleavy shoul tweak the offense some. Kaman is overrated. and Randolph has never even heard of defense
There is more to winning than pure talent. Poor front office decisions have doomed this franchise for years. Poor coaching doesn't help. They have a decent amount of talent on the roster, but many of their players aren't about winning, just about putting up stats. Randolph is the perfect example. He plays no d and is a black hole offensively. Baron Davis would rather score than pass. Gordon has talent but isn't really a team player and Kaman has holes in his game as well. I like Thornton, and think with some tweaking, the team could be ok, but they are nowhere near championship caliber.
WHY ARENT THEY?? THEY HAVE EROUIS TALENT WHO IN THE NBA HAS A STARTING 5 SO ESTABLISHED NOT CONSIDERING HIGHLY TOUTED GORDON AND AL THORTON. TRADING 1 OF THIER BIGS FOR 2 SOLID BENCH PLAYERS , KEEPING GRIFFIN AND CHANGING THE COACH WILL GIVE THIS TEAM A GOOD LOOK. MO CHEEKS ANYBODY?
