Why is Chase Budinger ranked so high?

I am really curious as to why some people post such stupid comments on this website. The majority of people come to this website to gain relevant information, not read stupid comments like "he is one of the few white guys i would draft." If you have nothing intelligent to say just shut up. Budinger is oozing with potential, his athleticism is rivaled by very fews players in this draft. He is also a tremendous shooter with range that easily extends beyond the NBA three point line. His lateral quickness and ability to handle the ball are concerns but with hard work and determination Budinger could develop into a very solid 2nd or 3rd option on a team and will average probably somewhere around 13-15 pts for his career.

Hey Balltiffall5 man I don't think dude that said that about white guy I would draft was trying to start anything. I watch a lot of nba, basketball, and draft stuff. They even say things like that. It is no secret that there are not a lot of white people in the NBA and the ones that are in are either tall or can shoot very very well. I do not believe that Chase deserves to be lottery. I believe he can be a brent barry type if he works on his handles but right now there are more African American Athletes who have greater pontential and Chase has not show enough to be a Nba ready player yet so if you go on the potential thing honestly he is a first round pick but not quite top ten maybe end of the lottery. This draft is starting to appear to be better than advertised.

An NBA scout said it too buddy, so why should I say anything different. It's a compliment to Budinger. Actually the scout said "I would never draft a white player" in his exact words. So your welcome.

I'm not taking it offensively at all, i'm simply saying when someone asks why he is projected so high, that isn't relevant. It is a very weak draft class, he's probably not lottery worthy but at the same time the kid does have some tools to work with. I highly doubt a scout with any credentials would make that comment, would you mind telling me who this scout is?

Hell if I know. He kept his identity "unknown" probably a smart idea. It was an scout for an east contender is all I can tell you. Budinger has talent, dude ha s ajumper and superior athleticism and could be very good at the next level.

Budinger should go late 1st.

If he could handle the ball like Mike Miller he'd go higher, but Budinger can't handle and can't defend, so he's essentially just a leaper who can shoot and drive somewhat.

I think that IF he does go higher than expected, it will be because a team believes that he can be effective without a handle for NOW, but thinks that he can develop one in a few years, or in their mind he's the best player at his position available at the time, otherwise he probably goes 4-8 picks outside the lottery...at least thats what I think

I'm sure Chase's measurable attributes will be awesome at workouts and all that but I agree with all of the U of A fans here - anything he does in the league will be seen as a surprise given how he couldn't take over a game in college. Hell, Wayne Ellington has pulled more weight than Chase ever has and Wayne is a 3rd option.

P.S. It is a kind of a messed up thing to say, I agree, but a ton of scouts kind of talk down on white athletes. Its nothing new.

This is the biggest piece of sh*t post i have ever read. Can't wait until you eat your words bud. He's the most NBA ready out of any player outside of Griffin. Glad I got to play and grow up with Chase.

Chase has been consistent at Arizona but pretty far from a star. I hope he is good but, you need to chill out and then, when or if he pans out like you said, you can just say "told ya." Thats all it requires. BTW, i dont really love Chase. To me he is just like Alexander, a white athlete without a real position in the NBA.
