His numbers did go down
His numbers did go down across the board last season which was a bit of a surprise considering Chris Paul joined the team, but one number that went way up was his FG% so maybe he is getting more efficient. It is way too early this season to say he is regressing, he is beasting it tonight against Miami though.

Because griffin finally has a contending team. It's easy for good players to put up monster numbers on crappy teams(chris bosh in Toronto) but its natural that their production will go down when they have a respectable cast
